Jack Buckley, station operator of the road, saves the lives of Mrs. Miller and Esther who have become entangled under a fallen horsfe on the tracks. John Buckley, father of the operator, is engineer of the fast mail passenger and is just round- ing the curve. In the meantime plans are under way to wreck the train which is bringing the Millers home from San account of Esthers tele-. gram advising her parents of the ungentlemanly actions of Wilton. Wilton secures his brother, known as Collins, to wreck the train. Jack Buckley is surprised to see the fast express pass the station without paying any attention to the stop signal.
