NUMBER of entertainments have been arranged in honor of Miss Marie Covey, who will be married May 29 to Melvin R. Ballard. Miss A Mildred Burrows entertained at a luncheon and kensington Wednesday in honor of the bride. Miss Rae Williams gave a dancing party Friday evening. A matinee party followed by tea at the Hotel Utah will be given by Miss Edith Teudt, Miss Elsa Keysor, Miss Judith Keysor and Miss Louise Hodson. Monday Miss Marion Cartwright will entertain at luncheon. Wednesday, May 19, Miss Helen Kearns will give a kensington tea. Thursday, May 20, Mrs. Leslie Covey will entertain at bridge tea. Mrs. Victor M. enter- Stephenson tained the member sof the Entre Nous club at five hundred, followed by tea, Tuesday at her home in the Hollywood apartments. Mrs. Henry Johnson was a guest in addition to the club members. Mrs. Lorenzo Snow entertained at bridge tea Tuesday afternoon at her home on Third East street. The guests were entertained at six tables at bridge and additional guests were invited for tea. The hostess was assisted by her daughter, Mrs. Wallace G. 15 on a motor trip to San Francisco for a few weeks visit, and thence to Su Diego, where Colonel Hartle expect a detail for military duty. and Mrs. S. Scallion, a drill by fifteen children under the direction of Mrs. K. S. Fad el and fancy dancing by C. Jacksons pupils. The Cottage club will give its annual spring party Saturday at My Shop. The entertainment will be in the nature of a bridge tea, beginning at 3 oclock. Instead of a picnic announced by the Ladies Literary club for Friday afternoon at Liberty park, a tea was given at the club house. The tea followed the annual election of officers and the annual reports. Squire Coop lectured on Parsifal, illustrated by musical numbers from the opera. The Association of Collegiate Alumnae held the last meeting of the year Wednesday afternoon at Civic Center on Regent street. Its members were hostesses to Americanization clubs of the city. The program consisted of vocal selections by Mrs. E. G. Skliris Ce Qu en Pense Potterat, Mile. Baut gave a reading and a musical progrem of French selections was rendered. Members of the Sigma Phatan club were entertained Monday evening at the home of Miss Irene Reiser, 433 West Fifth South street. A silver tea was given Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. E. F. Wright, 321 First avenue, from 2 until 5 oclock, by the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Pupils of Mrs. Emma Ramsey Morris will give a musical program. The place cards were decorated with girls frocked in gowns in dainty pastel shades. OMalley of Mil- waukee are receiving congratulations over the arrival of a son. Mrs. OMalley was formerly Miss Orpha Kingsbury of this city. Mrs. Theodore Best is visiting her brother, J. H. Kendall entertained at a prettily arranged kensington Monday afternoon at the Christensen home on Third avenue, in honor of Miss Amelia Margetts, a bride of the late spring. Presiding in the dining room were Mrs. J. G. McDonald, Mrs. John McDonald, Jr., and Mrs. Richard Chamberlain, who were assisted in serving by Miss Lucille McDonald, Miss Fawn Kendall, Miss Dorothy Chamberlain.
