RICKS of Veda Woolley Ricks, THE funeral of Ezra A. Ricks, of Poca- . The annual medal contest of the Spirit of Liberty chapter, D. A. R., to have been held this Friday at the East High school, has been postponed until February 27. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Birbeck are re- ceiving congratulations on the birth of a daughter. Mrs. Birbeck was formerly 5,Miss Marion Jennings. ' Mrs. J. Tracy Wootten, accompanied by her small son Richard, left Tues- day for California for a visit with Mrs. Woottens parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Chipman. Mrs. Paul Thilo of Duchesne is the guest of her mother, Mrs. Isaac Jen- nings, for a few weeks. Mrs. Thilo was formerly Miss Louise Jennings. Mrs. Ira D. Wines, who has spent the winter at the Fifth East hotel, is leaving this week for Los Angeles and the beaches, where she will spend the early spring months with relatives tello, Idaho, was held in Salt Lake City today. The funeral cortege left Larkins mortuary at 1:30 oclock and services were held at the graveside in City cemetery at 2 oclock. Mrs. Ricks, who was prominent socially in Salt Lake, was a talented musician and elocutionist. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Woolley, who reside at No. 48, Fairmont apartments. Mrs. Ricks died of pneumonia at Pocatello, Idaho. Mrs. Ricks was born in Paris, Idaho, June 8, 1893. Her parents came to Salt Lake about fifteen years ago, where Mrs. Ricks resided until she married E. R. Ricks of Logan. Immediately after her marriage she and her husband went to Washington, D. C., where Mr. Ricks studied law, and only last fall he was admitted to practice in Pocatello. . Mrs. Ricks is survived by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Marian, two and one-hayears old, and the following brothers and sisters : Ernest R. Woolley, Salt Lake ; Dr. H. Smith Woolley, Pocatello, Idaho; Mrs. M. J. Hall, New York; Mrs. J. W. Wallace, Los Angeles; K. R. Woolley, Ft. Worth, Texas; Mrs. Wilson McCarthy and Roland R. Wool-le- y of Salt Lake. lf The Veteran Rebekah association held its annual meeting and luncheon Tuesday afternoon at the Immanuel Baptist church. Luncheon was served at 1 oclock and the business meeting followed.
