Show THE CITIZEN !3 i Revue De La Ville regular monthly meeting of Catholic Womans league was held at 8:30 oclock Tuesday evening, at the Ladies Literary club house. A short business meeting preceded the program. Mrs. Lydia White Boothby, chairman of the program committee, introduced the speaker of the evening, the Most Rev. Edward J.' Hanna, D. D., archbishop of San Francisco. A reception in honor of Archbishop Hanna and other visiting prelates followed the meeting. The hostesses of the evening were Mrs. John T. White, Mrs. Henry Welsh, Mrs. Richard Trea-no- THE r, Mrs. M. A. Burke, Mrs. P. S. Keogh and Mrs. Timothy OConnor, assisted by officers of . the league. Autumn flowers were used in decorating the club house. A large crystal basket of pink roses tied with a large fluffy bow of pink maline, on a lace cloth over pink satin formed an effective centerpiece for the table. Smaller crystal baskets of pink roses, tied with pink maline, were placed at each corner of the table and between them were crystal candlesticks holding pink cathedral candles. Presiding in the dining room were Mrs. J. C. Lynch, Mrs. J. A. De Bou-zeMrs. W. M. Parlon and Mrs. John C. Dwyer. The following young girls assisted in serving: Mrs. Edmund J. Kearns, Miss Cora Rotzler, Miss Dorothy White, Miss Florence Sullivan, Miss Julia Stephens, Miss Kathleen Geoghegan, Miss Gertrude Geoghe-gaMiss Florence Collins, Miss Katherine Collins and Miss Elizabeth OConnor. Music was furnished by a trio, consisting of Miss Gertha Farley, harpist; Miss Lois Cannon, violinist, and Miss Helen Grant, cellist. k, n, MR. AND MRS. J. J. DAYNES, JR., Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Jenkins entertained at a dinner party Tuesday evening at the Hotel Utah in honor of Owen Woodruff, who will leave soon for a mission to England for the L. D. S. church.
