Clnff, attorney general, holds that the present owners of automobiles are liable for the personal property tax even thongh they were not the owners when the assessments were made, in an opinion given Tuesday to the state auditor. Recent purchasers of cars since Jan. 1st, should ascertain whether or not the. tax was paid before concluding the purchase, the attorney advises. S. J. Schneitter came here during the week from her home at the Hot Post llesort, visiting witn her children who are attending the Eureka schools. Mrs. 8chneitter was accompanied by her son. Noble Schneitter, and also by Miss Mamie Miles, the latter remaining for a few months visit with the members of the Schneitter family who have taken up their residence here.
