Show Is Home And AndA A Civilian George Lynn Reid 21 son of Mr and Mrs Evan Reid returned return return- ed home Saturday after more than three years of military try service service service ser ser- vice with nearly three years spent in Germany He was discharged discharged discharged dis dis- charged on June 6 at Fort Hamilton Hamilton Hamilton Ham Ham- ilton N. N Y with the rank of Sp Lynn was last home in July 1955 and went overseas soon after that While in Europe he visited with Lt and Mrs Arliss W. W V Jensen and with Mr and Mrs Robert Anderson He visIted visited visited vis vis- the Swiss Temple and took other church tours He was ordained an elder at theMay the theMay May conference of the W West es e's German t German Gennan Mission by the mission president He had served as a branch clerk for two years Lynn went to church in NewYork NewYork New NewYork York and th there re met Don of Centerville who had been on mission In Australia and knew Ray Terry Larsen und and Gordon Christensen Tinge planned to fly to Utah the next day but changed his plans and accompanied accompanied i Lynn home in the small German make car which Lynn brought with him The R Rei Reids e f d s took Mr to Centerville I Sunday Lynn plans to help his father on the farm this summer and then to enter school possibly Snow College in the autumn He had just completed h hi high i g h V school when he joined the service service service ser ser- vice in 1955 But his plans could be altered somewhat because of a girl he hemet hemet hemet met in Germany She is Miss Suzan Richards whose father a former instructor at Carbon College College College Col Col- lege was a teacher in the American American Am American Am- Am schools in Germany The family had moved to Salt Lake City before going to Germany and md will return to Salt Lake soon And it could be that there vill will be a late summer or autumn marriage |
