At the worst it is only temporary, but the degree of hardship with which man manages to survive it depends on his supply of faith and common sense. In the Bible, there are many examples of droughts and other disasters visited upon the people when their corrupt ways indicated the need of a lesson to bring about their reform. But as always, the rains came back once the lesson had been learned. At the Church of your choice, you too will learn how to become a better person before some emergency befalls you; more appreciative and less wasteful of our God given resources.
