Mrs. Daniel (Joyce) Dennis visited a week in Phoenix, Arizona, with her sister and family Luanne Griffin, her nephew Is leaving for an LDS mission this week. a Mrs. Norma Denver, her granddaughter Terry Denver, and Mr. and Mrs. John Daniels, recently returned from a two week vacation in Hawaii. They accompanied a church group and visited many interesting and beautiful parts of our new stale. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Scholes are enjoying a visit from their mother Vera Larsen of St. George, Utah. Mrs. Clara Timothy received word of her grandson falling from a ledge while visiting relatives in St. George receiving serious injury and is confined- lo the Primary Childrens Hospital, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Val Timothy, Salt Lake. Visiting her mother Mrs. Clara Timothy at present is her daughter, Colleen Hancock, of Salt Lake City. Members of the Roosevelt 5th Ward enjoyed a ward building fund pot luck dinner Wednesday evening. It was planned to be held at the park but due to the inclement weather was held at the American Legion Hall, regardless of the weather it was very successful. a Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Bennett of My ton have purchased the Iao Card home in Roosevelt. A group of cheer leaders and Cougarettes from Union high school - attended a week' of Intermountain speciality work shop at Logan this past week. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Edmiston and Oklahoma, visited over the weekend with their mother Merle Ross, after which she accompanied them to Helview, Washington to visit their son and brother, Lynn Lamar Ross and family. Lynn has been ill but is much improved. Mrs. Kent (Linda) Denver accompanied her mother Barbara Ross and sisters Jeanie Brown and Jody Ross to Salt lake City Thursday on business. Bishop and Mrs. Duane Olsen and family went to Ogden Wednesday where Mr. Olsen will attend State FHA meetings and they will attend other family activities. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Andrews returned Thursday from Salt Lake City where Howard has been confined to the University of Utah medical center for surgery on his arm for two weeks. Visiting at the home of Nancy Burton Thursday evening was Don Hall of California. Pamela Labrum of Longmont, Colorado is visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross and other relatives fora week. Out of town family and friends attending the wedding reception Friday evening for Mr. and Mrs. George Dean (Mary Beth Murray) were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murray of Lindon, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Murray, Grantsville, Mr. and Mrs. W. M.Durphy, Mr. and Mrs. IJoyd Murray, Mr. and Mrs. James Kennedy, Mr. and Mrs. George Dean Sr. and Lee Wilson all of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. James Ellerson, Provo. The small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Malnar was hit by a car Friday afternoon while riding her tricycle on the sidewalk near her home. Fortunately she was not seriously injured other than scrapes and bruises. The following relatives and friends that came to attend the funeral of Louis Harris, were guests after the funeral at the home of his brother, Mr. and Mrs. William Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Wall, Neldon Wall, Mr. and Mrs.Dixie World, Tamie, Troy, and Sandra Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Griffin, all of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Wall, Duane Wall, and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Allred, Vernal. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Murphy enjoyed a visit this past week from the following members of their family, Mr. and Mrs. John Paul Murphy and children, and Mr. and Mrs.Eugne Jayne of Provo, Utah, Captain and Mrs. Alfred Schlag and children, Colorado Springs. Ann and her children have been visiting her parents for three weeks they attended June Conference in Salt Lake City this past weekend and returned to Colorado Springs, Monday. Sherri Bellon is presently visiting with relatives in the Los Angeles area. We have a new LDS missionary in our area, Elder Peterson from Oregon, he has come to replace Elder Zeto of Tremonton, who has been released from his mission. Mr. and Mrs. Nello Hicken of Tabiona accompanied their daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gilbert and family to the Black Hills, Mt. Rushmore, and the passion play in North Dakota this family of Anadarko, son-in-la- (g) Boise Cascade Homes two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Stringham, daughter, Leanne, and Milenda Fransen, spent the past week vacationing in New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado, Utah. Approximately 50 people from both the Roosevelt Stake and Roosevelt West, Stake, attended June conference this past weekend in Salt Lake. Attending a John T. Luke reunion in Heber Saturday were Rosella Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Wenzel Luke, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Mortensen and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Breilenstein and four children of Ridgecrest, Calif., Mrs. Breitenstein is the former Eleanor Johnson, they accompanied their mother to Roosevelt for an extended vacation. Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Small and family recently returned home from a two week vacation in East Texas. Other grandparents are the Clint Ames of Altonah and great grandparents are of Mr. and Mrs. Claud Mathews Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Remington accompanied their daughter and Cheryl and Alton Tracker and family of Orem on a trip to Los Angeles, Calif., where they visited Disney Land and other interesting places. Visiting with the Seeleys over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. John Larsen of Roy, Utah, and Mr. and Mrs. Afton Seeley of Salt Lake. Dee Jones returned home on Sunday to Logan with the Larsens, his aunt and uncle. Olive Miles and Evelyn Miles were in the Logan, Tremonton and Roy area Monday and Tuesday on business and keeping a doctors appointment. Brett Muire of Layton returned to Altamont with them for a visit with his aunt Evelyn Miles this week. Brown, teacher and supervisor. The class is sponsored' by the State Health Dept, and Duchesne County school district. The class is five weeks in length with the first three days spent in a workshop for parents. Saddler, Salt Lake spent a week here visiting his daughter, Grant Hansen and family. e Miss Carol Noll of Walnut Creek, California spent three days at the Grant Hansen home before she started summer school at the BYU. m. Bishop and Mrs. Bruce Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Thacker, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marshall were in Salt Lake one day last week where Bruce was set apart as Bishop by a General Authority. They also attended a session at the Provo Temple. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Hansen and son went to Salt Lake City to attend a wedding reception for Carolyn Hansen and Brent Ainsworth on June 19th. Mrs. Grant Hansen spent two days in Springlake and Provo last week visiting relatives. The little daughter of Jerry and Juanita Thacker is now home following a week in the Vernal hospital receiving medical treatment for meningitis. Her mother has been at the hospital with her. Doug and Glenn Todd left last week for Hollywood, Florida by plane to see Everett Yump and accompany him back to Bluebell in his car. While there they did some sight seeing on the way home. They spent the night at Jacksonville, Florida with their brother. Elder Gregory Todd who is serving an LDS mission in that area. Greg is zone leader there. They will return to Bluebell on Tuesday of this week. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Winkler and Mr. and Mrs. Porter Merrell drove to Lehi (Following the special temple session at Provo) to attend the Golden Wedding Anniversary Celebration for Matt and Gudren Wathen, while they saw Mrs. Jorjina Johnsen, age 95; Mrs. Mabel Therning age 84; Mr. and Mrs. George Wathen, former LaVon and Ethel Hancock from California and Idaho; Don and Donna Williamson and family from Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and many others all these people are former Bluebell residents and send their love and best wishes to friends and relatives at home.
