Show HANSEN - MCANDREW WED IN LATE SUMMER RITES Lynda Hansen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ray Hansen of Altamont and Joseph McAndrew of Carbon Dale, Pa., son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter McAndrew were married during a double ring ceremony August 31 in the Altamont IJ)S 1st ward chapel, by Bishop Laurence Holgale. A reception was held the same evening in the Cultural hall at the Altamont chapelwhere the couple greeted their guests in a setting of carnation, mums, Queens lace, and white chiffon entwined in an arch against a silver background with lighted grecian columns on either side. The blond tressed bride was lovely in a floor length lace train gown with a lace and minature button yoke and long full bell sleeves with fingertip lace at the wrists. A full length nylon net veil with lace trim competed the ensemble. She carried a bouquet consisting of carnations and stephanotis and blue baby breath surrounding a while orchid, tied with light blue streamers. The bride was attended by two matrons of honor Paula Huber and Devera Hagen. They were dressed in floor length royal blue polyester gowns with empire waist line and high neck lace trim. Cynthia Jessen, Sharlene Jessen, and Mary Lou Hanberg were bridesmaids and Lanis Mitchell and Julie Shields were flower girls. They were dressed floor length light blue polyester gowns with empire waist lines and lace trim on the high neck. The bridesmaids flowers were bouquets of carnations, and blue baby breath centered with bells and light and dark blue ribbon streamers. The flower girls carried baskets of blue and white flowers and baby breath, and light and dark blue streamers. The brides mother was dressed in a floor length light blue polyester combination skirt and royal blue velvet top. Her vmm ensemble was set off wilh a while orchid will) blue streamers. Steven Huber served as best man. Brent BroLherson, Roger Mitchell, Scott Mohlman, and Kelvin Fisher were ushers. The wedding cake was decorated in Roman garden style complete wilh water fountain framed in fresh carnations. Myrth Gardner and girls, Cindy and Jana Shield and Debbie Bisel were in charge of serving. Alma Shields, Adele Shields, Beth Brolherson, Naomi Fisher, LaWana Timothy and Marion Monsen were in charge of gifts. Tawna Mitchell and Irene Lamb were at the guest book and the Culture club held first punch bowl. Wanless Shields, grandfather of the bride was master of ceremonies for a program consisting of a song by Verl and Jacky Tucker; a song by Linda Hansen; trio consisting of Norma Jessen, Rita Hansen and Norma Hansen. Paula Huber entertained the group with a song; a song by Toni, Cindy and Jana Shields, and a number by the family group of George and Vera Fisher, Ive Shields, Wanless and Thelma Shields, Steve and Paula Huber and Lynn and Norma Hansen dedicated a song to the groom. The bride chose for her going away ensemble a green and white polyester pant suit. The couple are making their home in Key Largo, Fla. Culture Club held their first meeting of ,the year Thursday September 26th at the home of Mrs. Floyd Labrum. with Mrs. Les Brown, Cecil Jenkins as an attorney from Duchesne was a guest the speaker. Mrs. Lon Logan conducted from the a read and greeting meeting National Federation of Women's Clubs. Also one from the State President. Plans for the year were discussed. Club for members thanked Ed Rowley petunias and helping plant furnishing around the trees on main street. Nine members and two guests Mrs. Robert Huish and Mrs. Dale Muse w re present. The next club meeting will be Thursday October 10th. Club members are urged to come and participate. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Gates and Mr. and Mrs. James Hall hosted the Saturday Neighborhood Sew club held OCTOBER 3, 1974 meet Sept. 26 Sat. Knighters bridge meet Knighters Bridge club at the Frontier Grill Sept. 28. A dinner was served followed by bridge. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Harmston Jr., Lloyd Nelson and Mrs. H. C. Cooper won prizes. A luncheon was served and bridge was played during the evening. Mrs. Robert Johnston, Mrs. Greg Roberts and Mrs. Murphy won the prizes. Mrs. Births Mr. and Mrs. Brent Holgate, Altonah, a Milligan Mrs. Clara Timothy entertained the Neighborhood Sewing club Sept 25. A salad luncheon was served to twelve guests. The evening was spent doing hand work and discussing current events. Monday bridge Beauty Shop entertained EUNICE SPRINGER, ownor Gusher, Utah 2 miles north of Gusher Store Open 6 days o week Call 722-400- 7 Mrs. Lora Killian entertained the Monday bridge club Sept 24. A bridge luncheon was served and the afternoon was spent playing bridge. The prizes were won by Mrs. Killian and Mrs. Lawrell Jensen. Terri is t he daughter of Mr. and Mrs James E. Zobell, Roosevelt, David is thi son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Olpin, Roosevelt and Mrs. Edith Olpin, Chicago. A reception was held in honor of tht newlyweds September 14, at the home o Mr. and Mrs. Bert Dennis, a sister of tht bride. The bride wore a white taffeta facet organa gown with an empire waistline lhe dress feaLured a high round necklini with a slandup collar and long full cuffet sleeves. Lace trim formed a V on tht bodice. Wedding lace trimmed the cuffs standup collar, and the gathered ruffli forming a V on the bodice. The skirt had double ruffle of organza at the bottom The three quarter length lace veil fel from a garland of white flowers forming head hand. The bride carried a bouquet ci purple and yellow carnations, wilh whit roses and white daisies. Serving as maid of honor was Ksy Zobell, sister of the bride. The maid honor wore a corsage of orange tippet carnations. The mother of the bride wore a strec hurgandy double knit dres adorned with a corsage of pink lippe carnations. The mother of the grooi wore a two piece beige floor length sui adorned with a corsage of yellow tippe rurnalions. Joe Olpin was Ih-- man, he is a brothe of the groom. The wedding cake was two tiers, an white with pink roses. It had a minatur bride and groom on the top layer. In charge of serving were Lynnett Abram, Julie and Kulhie Uoyd. In chars of gifts were Hartk Arler Mecham. Cindy Warhurton, and Jer hsplin. lain Green sat at the guest book. The bride wore a Hach double kn pantsuit for her going away ensemble. i s B |
