Show The Paper That Dares To Take WILDLIFE RESOURCES A Stand December 11, 1975 The Utah Independent Page 3 WHAT IS TRUTH? OUTLAWED? by Thomas O. Breitling What Washington, D.C. would be the net effect on our nations wildlife resources and on the preservation of habitat if hunting were outlawed? Most Idahoans would view that as a foolish question. We know the end result of a ban on hunting would be total devastation of wildlife. Yet that is the very question now being raised in Federal courts in Washington, D.C. ON COURSE Pilate said to him, What is truth? St. John 18:38 On October 30 The Utah Independent carried my article, Allan T. Each of you can determine from the Congressional Record what Congressman Findley said, what Congressman Frazer said, and what the resolution itself says. Printed in this paper the words for a petition to Mr. Howe which each reader can copy and initiate in his neighborhood and among his associates. Such signed petitions should be copied and the originals sent to Howe. 2. Request Utah readers contact State Representatives and Senators to ask if they have read this article and the words from the Congressional Record. Ask them to read both and get in touch with Congressman Howe to express opposition to this resolution on Atlantic Convention and to pass a resolution rejecting the idea of Atlantic Convention and Atlantic Community. 3. Call your favorite on any local two-wa- y radio station and ask him to telephone Congressman Howe in Washington or when he is in Utah to discuss his support of Atlantic Convention. CONCERN com-municas- tor All of us are aware of the agonies the citizens black and white are going through in many parts of our country due to this nefarious scheme called busing. White and black parents have joined together to fight against this monstrosity. Their children are being tom from them and bussed to schools as distant as thirty miles. The children dont want it. The whites dont want it. And most important of all, the blacks dont want it. The only ones who want it are the great socialist experimenters in Washington who view us as so many animals to be herded and controlled. The ostensible purpose of forced busing is to achieve racial balance. One question the dictocrats in Washington have never answered is just why this is even a desirable objective. Forced racial balance is not only not a desirable objective it is an insult to the intelligent and respectable blacks in our country. The dictocrats and federal judges insinuate that ALL blacks are so undesirable that no one else will associate with them unless forced to do so by law. This position is, of course, ridiculous. Blacks are like other people. Some good and some bad. Some are outstanding citizens. There are others, I admit, that I want no association with. But is that racism? Not at all. There are many whites with whom 1 want no association, either! hard-workin- g, IS EVERYBODY A RACIST? According to the majority of the news reporters, anyone who is opposed to the forced busing scheme is guilty of racism. That would make the majority of Americans racists for it seems that the majority opposes forced busing. But is this accusation accurate? Obviously, it is not. The people are opposed to forced busing because they are opposed to their children being used as guinea pigs in sociological experiments. Because they are FOR retaining control over their childrens educations. For these reasons, the resistance the parents are showing to this tyrannical scheme of forced busing all over the country is a most encouraging sign. Kissinger And His Policies Anti-Christi- an Catholic and Protestant missionaries in South Veitnam and Cambodia spent years bringing the message of Christianity to these countries; they also established schools and clinics and did other charitable works which were financed through contributions from fellow Christians abroad. We do know 56,000 young Americans died in vain to keep these countries free of Communist barbarism, and hundreds of thousands more were wounded.
