A previous article showed how placing restrictions upon the peoples right to choose judges, gives rise to challenge the validity of a State's representation in Congress, under Section 2 of the Fourteenth Amendment. Sections 3 and 4 of the Amendment also give patriots grounds for challenging socialistic tyranny. Section 3 states: No person shall he a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and or HOLD ANY OFFICE. CIVIL OR MILITARY under the UNITED STATES or under any STATE, who, having previously taken an oath as a member of Congress, or as a member of any State Legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, OR GIVEN AID OR COMFORT TO THE ENEMIES THEREOF. But Congress may, by a vote of of each house, remove such disability. Reading the underlined portions of the above: No person shall hold any office under the United States or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath to support the Constitution of the United Stats, shall have given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof Actually, socialism is a deadly enemy of the Constitution, and so welfare-statism- ". is liberalism" and Vice-Preside- two-thir- Therefore, nt. ds your constituted authorities" who have been advocating revenue-sharinland-us- e programs, regional and metro government, urban renewal, federal reservism". and so forth, arc ENEMIES of the Constitution who have no right to hold office. This is not to oversimplify; the courts have claimed that, lacking war. the U.S. has no enemies", and that to claim otherwise is to raise a political", rather than a constitutional" question. Nevertheless, grounds are there for patriots to go into the courts by the thousands and tens of g, price-contro- ls, thousands, challenging pro- socialists' rights to office. AND CLAIMS SHALL BE HELD ILLEGAL AND VOID. A reading of the capitalized portions of the above gives a message. Insurrection and rebellion arc usually interpreted as being against the establishment" with overtones of organization with force or violence. If the true law of the land is the Constitution, then it is obvious that constituted authorities" use force when they oppress those accused of crime for exercising Constitutional rights. It can be convincingly argued that those guilty of insurrection and rebellion are actually authorities of office self-supporti- ng live rs, similar fate. A National Crime Wave Incidents similar to the above are no longer uncommon in America. Summarizing the situamurder tion which resulted in the Blair W.N. of his colleague, Florida Trooper told a local reporter: It doesnt take much education to know that the criminal has the advantage today and were hard pressed to protect the public and ourselves. Mrs. Campbell assisted Mrs. Baker through the week of funeral and burial. This year, Trooper Campbell was shot in the back of the head by a paroled convict who had piled up a string of felonies over the past ten years. Mrs. Baker rushed to Mrs. Campbells side this time. The people of Florida are angrily insisting that their states permissive penal policies be scrapped. Vaughn F.llwsorth law-abidin- g, cold-blood- ed added: If you think were concerned about it, you should talk to our wives. Indeed, the criminal does have an advantage today. Only three percent of crimes committed result in jail sentences for the offenders. But it should be severe enough and certain enough to discourage future criminal activity. We live in an age when great concern is mounted for programs of rehabilitation. The point being ignored is that rehabilitation is possible only when an offender wants to be rehabilitated. If crime goes unpunished, and if criminals are coddled in the courts, in the jails, and in the press, we can be sure that crime will proliferate. Politicians, judges, social workers and penal authorities please take note: Your tolerance for permissive penal policies is exhausting the tolerance of America. self-protecti- on law-abidi- ng Copyright 1974 by The John Birch Society Features UNCLE SAM SHOULDN'T RETALIATE the Constitution, and in the name thereof are using the force and violence of police power as they imsocialism pose unconstitutional upon the people in violation of everything the Constitution stands for. Interest and W. se The Aftermath of a Parole The Campbell murder suspect, Paul Knowles, had been convicted of kidnapping in 1965 and paroled in 1967. Rearrested in 1968, he served three years for breaking and entering. Back in jail again in 1971 on another breaking and entering charge, he escaped in November of 1971. He was recaptured one month later and sentenced to six additional years in prison. But in May of 1974, Knowles was paroled on condition that he go to California, where he allegedly had a job and a fiancee. He was back in Florida within a few months and was being sought by Florida police on a charge of parole violation. On November 16, 1974, Trooper Campbell stopped an auto driven by Knowles because it resembled a vehicle involved in a kidnapping. Knowles confronted the trooper with a shotgun, abducted him, and then abducted a Delaware businessman. Two days later, Knowles, also wanted for questioning regarding three who betray their oaths lascivious and scandalous are newsworthy.
