The luncheon table in the Japanese room was centered with a tiny illuminated Christmas tree, while at each cover an electrically lighted poinsetta was placed. Dale Phillips and Mrs. Lillian Underwood were special guests of the club. Mr. Phillips addressed the girls on The Life of Thomas Edison, and at the conclusion of the talk he read a number of humorous telegrams from the members, and then acted as Santa Claus, distributing gifts to all those present.
