Show page A10 Tuesday May 13 1997 Davis County Dipper i Close of year busy for FJH Elliott Karren Gardner, Cathryne Halliday, Jordan Crapo, Tricia Tallenco, Jamie Student Reporter Things here at Farmington Junior High have never been busier W ith track and field events going on and students earning achievement awards, its a whirlwind out here In Farmington Jr s first track meet this year we got olf to a great start by defeating Centerville and Fairfield Jr and breaking six school In records in the process Farmington Jr s decathlon we had many great athletes come and win The top 20 girls are Chelsy Webb, Angla Salazar, Alisha Meek, Angela Olsen, Sarah Clark, Melissa Meikle, Vicki Chilinski, Krystal Stanger, Melanie Jensen, Elizabeth Treu, Haily Tippets, Valerie Payne, Clotile Bonner, Michelle Meikle, Ashley Jensen, and Elaine Hartline. The top 20 boys are: Harry Bonner, Ben Gardner, Erik Boyle, Troy Evans, Christopher Weaver, Tyler Bredthauer, Derek Harbertson, Devin Farr, Blake Boren, Dan Zundel, Greg Godderidge, Kyle Forbush, Adam Young, Brett Israelson, James Mabey, T.J. Roberts, Jim Madsen, Kasey Malcom, James Muirbrook, and Craig Gourly. Way to go track! Our students of the month for March are: Jeremy Lafevre, Clotile Bonner, Emily Wood, Kyle Gold, Jeff Johnson and Lindsay Kynaston. For April they are: Matt Arnell, Alicia Spangnberg, Joe Jeppson, Brandi Elliot, Nicole Stoker and Steven Crocleen Our Citizenship Leadership awards for the third term go to: Brett, Denham, Melanie Jenson, Alicia' Spjute, Conrad Walsh, Karen Taylor and J.B. Sherwood. Way to go future lead- ers! Viewmont choses valedictorians Valedictorians at VHS are chosen based on the top academic one percent of the graduating class, as determined by GPA, test scores (PTSA and ACT) and NHS class weighting By achieving this academic excellence, students will wear the valedictorian medal during graduation exercise. They will also be invited to submit a speech to be considered for delivery in g repre-septin- the valedictorians at the commence exercise. Congratulations! .Valedictorians include Charity Shumway, Christopher Monson, Jillaire Wangsgard, Thomas Kinghorn, Christopher Merrill, Stephanie Barton, Leia Willis, Mark Creer and Allison Rencher. Along with the blood drive, thse HOSA members finished twelve quilts that will be donated to Primary Childrens Medical Center later this spring. |
