Show Davis County Clipper Farmington OKs building moratorium Cherie Huber Contributing Writer BOUNTIFUL Of course Laurie Webb believes in angels. She has a license plate holder on the back of her car that says, I believe in Angels. And she always wears at least one piece of angel jewelry to show her support of angels and the good that they do. Webb says she has strongly believed in angels since she was about five years old. That was when she was playing on the shady side of the house when a u'' " t brilliant light appeared to her. She says she was told then that her mission in life would be to save lives and that her talents would grow stronger and she would understand more as she grew older. Webb says that this particular personage that she saw in the light had on a garment with no seams. She learned later in Sunday School that that was one of the signs of the Sav ior and she now believes that may have been who spoke to her. Of course, telling you about your talents when you are five years old doesnt mean much to you when you are that age. Webb says. But through the years I saved my mothers life 13 times. She says she has saved other lives by repeating warnings that suddenly come to her. Webb says that during one of her mothers illnesses, when it looked like her mother could not survive, she made a promise to God that if her mother would survive, she would devote all her time to caring for her. I quit my job, running a business and 1 turned down many other opportunities during that time but I made a covenant and 1 kept my word, Webb emphasizes. By the time she was 24, Webb says, she knew she had her own Guardian Angel. My angel talks to me and warns me of dangers. All of us get one at birth. Mine is getting a little tired of me by now, she says with a laugh. N'f a continued from front Neighbors decry plan for new -- : HI as an apartment because it is in a commercial zone. Every time we have a building permit approved under the old fee schedule, we let monies slip through our fingers that well never recoup. Petersen believed the city has lost close to 55().(XX) in development fees in the last few months alone. We need to take a breather said trom applications, Forbush. The council also amended its zoning ordinance relating to sight clearance on comer lots following a second public hearing. No one offered opposition to this proposal. AS H IQN and building prompted the Farmington City Council to unanimously vote to place a six month moratorium on lots in west unplatted Farmington, any site plan for any subdivision anywhere in the city, and any new rez.one requests. FARMINGTON The city council has voted to place a moratorium on building Webb says her Guardian Angel has saved her life in more ways than one. Early in her marriage she discovered her husband was unfaithful. She was so angry and so shocked when she found them meeting that she thought about killing both her husband and the other woman. All of a sudden a voice said to me very loudly. No! They deserve each other. I just laughed at them both and drove off, Webb recalls. Webb was just 28 years old when she had her first really serious heart pmblems. During a cardiac arrest she says that she went to the other side. When she arrived there, St. Peter said she was not supposed to be there but allowed her to look . around. You can come in but want your answer before you leave, he said - " After looking around and seeing how things were done there, Webb says she decided she wanted and needed to go back to take care of her mother. Dont be in such a hurry to make a decision. St. Peter said. First you wouldn't let me in and now you wont let me out, she recalls saying to St. Peter. Webb says she has never heard anyone else speaking of a near death experience say that they had an argument w ith St. Peter. In that same event Webb says she remembers watching from across the room as the doctor and hei brother folded her arms and drew a sheet up over her head. The doctor was explaining to my brother that he didn't know' why I had died when reenteied my body and gave the doctor quite a shock. Webb says that throughout her life she has been able to sense impending danger and protect hersell and others. And what the being in the light who spoke to her when she was live told her was true. Her talents have grown stronger and her understanding has increased as she has grown older. for a handlul of apartments. It was the second part of the proposed zone change (.75 acres of land) that brought a protest from about a dozen neighbors. Frank Long said he was opposed because of increased traffic on 625 West and that the buffer zone on the land between the residential area and the apartments needs to remain residential to keep a single-famil- y good balance. I have seen several traffic accidents in this area and the road (625 West) is too narrow for more traffic, Long said. He suggested that the vacant lot be used to enlarge the road for better access to 2800 South. When I purchased this property a few years ago I had no idea a large apartment complex was going in, Allen said. Now you want to make more changes. I am against it.
