Show Davis District preschool program going strong throughout the county The Davis County School District Preschool program is off and running in many of the neigh- borhood schools throughout the county. The program is offered to three and and focuses on social development, language exposure, creativity and large motor development all through hands on, self initiated activities. A variety of experiences are provided daily in which the children may participate in art, language, dramatic play, math and science. The curriculum for the preschool children focuses on the process not the product. There are morning and afternoon programs available. The program is based on the philosophy derived from the National Association for the Education of Young Childrens guidelines for developmentally appropriate practices. The class- rooms are child centered and try to identify individual childrens interests. The preschool program values parent involvement in the classroom and a reduced tuition rate is provided for parents who volunteer in their childs classroom. Parents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. There are preschools at the following ele- mentary school locations: Boulton, Bountiful, Oak Hills, Tolman, Washington, West Bountiful, Woods Cross, Centerville, Windridge, Kaysville, Kaysville Family Enrichment Center, Columbia, East Layton, Mountain View, Whitesides, Crestview, Vae View, Cook, Antelope, Lincoln, South Clearfield, Wasatch, Holt, Doxey, West Clinton, Clinton and Fremont.
