Show information Fair to lbs held on April 28 at Monte Vista The State of Utah Division of Services to People with Disabilities will hold an "Information Fair April 28 at the Monte Vista Elementary School, 100 S. 200 E., Farmington. The fair will be from 9 p.m. and the public is invited. There are a myriad of services that are available to assist those with disabilities and representatives from those services will be available to present information to families who have someone with special needs, as well as to the public. 7-- Those who have disabilities include individuals who are limited in life activities because of intellec- tual orand physical challenges. Often these individuals are eligible for such services as Social Security, Medicaid, and numerous state services. The Information Fair will provide details not only regarding eligibility, but will also detail the specific services by the many providers of service. The mission of the division is to promote opportunities for persons with disabilities to participate fully in Utah life. Frequently in the past, people with disabilities were institutionalized which only contributed to their isolation and often prevented their personal development. In an effort to provide a more fulfilling life to these individuals, the state provides supportive services to these individuals and families to help keep them at home or to function with assistance in local communities. Most often, children can remain in their own homes, and adults may live at home, or in apartments or group homes with Gov Mike Leavitt proclaimed April 24-3as Life Insurance Week.
