CHOICE is offering that The Center chance. Humanitarian Outreach for and International Cultural Exchange is two offering humanitarian expeditions to Mexico during the Christmas holiday. Volunteer participants will have the opportunity to help impoverished rural villagers in Central Mexico with basic needs such as clean water and a health clinic. Both expeditions will depart from Salt Lake City on Dec. 26 and Missionaries " return Jan. 3. These expeditions provide a unique experience as participants live in the community with the villagers and share a cross-cultur- al exchange. "The expeditions are open to adventurous volunteers with willing said hands," Carolyn daily, Executive Director of CHOICE "Expeditions during the Christmas holiday are especially popular as many families decide that a life changing, service adventure for Christmas is a much better gift than presents under the tree. The ceremony will be at the temple site in the suburban community of Town and Country. Temples in the Church are used for marriages, baptisms and other sacred ordinances and are not to be confused with meetinghouses, which serve local congregations. There are more than 200,000 congregations in the world, but just 45 operating temples, which serve wide geographical areas.
