Show DAVIS COUNTY CLIPPER Coalition to fight breast cancer Utahns are joining the national Breast Cancer Coalition "Campaign '93" to increase public awareness and participation in urging President Clinton to make breast cancer a part of the national health strategy. According to the Breast Cancer Coalition of Utah, breast cancer is a disease which kills more than 46,000 women in the United States every year, and change the lives of another 182,000 who are diagnosed with the disease. The coalition is attempting to 10,800 generate national plan that will: Involve leadership from Congress, the scientific community and the private sector. Foster communication and of effort among coordination scientists and medical professionals. Expedite the approval process for drugs and devices used in the treatment of breast cancer. Search for the possible environmental causes of breast cancer. Insure that women of all ages are educated about the importance of signatures, breast health. Provide incentives to attract more scientists to the field of breast cancer research. Remove existing roadblocks to representing the number of women currently living in Utah with breast cancer. The signatures will be delivered to Washington, D.C. on 8 Oct. with 2.6 million more, representing the national incidence of what the coalition calls an epidemic. 17-1- The National Breast Cancer Coalition calls for a comprehensive Senior events A schedule Golden Years Center, 726 S. 100 E., follows.
