Ten tailgates were removed from 1993 Ford trucks parked in the lot at the Willey Ford auto dealership, located at 1800 S. Main. The tailgates are valued at $800 apiece. The incident marks the second time in the past year that tailgates have been stolen from the dealership. The problem, Officer Clay Kone explained, is that tailgates are a snap to remove and can be sold to auto body shops for a substantial amount of money. The only thing securing the tailgate to the truck is a chain.
