Show DAVIS COUNTY CLIPPER Tuesday, August 24, 1993 C7 Courageous twosome at DATC achieving goals At first glance you wonder why a frail, sparkly-eyc- d woman in a wheelchair is helping a man whose appearance is one of vigor and strength. And then you notice Deborah, the seeing-ey- e dog lying on the carpet nearby. This unique and courageous twosome have caught the attention of other students at the Davis Applied Technology Center in Kaysville. Randy Porter from West Point is an intense student with goals. He's intense because his eyesight is slowly to due diminishing retnitispigmatosis better known as RP. Porter's field of vision is narrowing and becoming less distinct and could completely disappear anytime without warning. She is currently enrolled at DATC and is enjoying the challenge of refresher courses in business English as well as new classes in business technology. "No matter what you go into, you have to know new computer technology skills. Porter is studying accounting and software programs. He hopes to use the knowledge to help him with his business affairs and to obtain skills for future employment.
