Show 6A Sun Advocate, Price, Utah Wednesday, May 21, 1980 CLUB NOTES Hospital Pink ladies Bea Thompson, Loina Davis and Geneva Black have returned from attending the Western Hospital Convention held in las Angeles. The Historical Society will continue its efforts to collect, record, document historical data. An historical newsletter is planned to inform members of research activities, projects, etc. There will also be a logo contest to find a symbol representative of Carbon County history. This will be organized for September. Watch for a bake sale to earn money for all the projects. Any donations are welcome. The volunteers attending their general meetings received many suggestions in how to raise money, how to become involved in the political movements, managing voluntary systems and volunteer motiviations. The pink ladies gained ideas in how to better serve the hospital and the community. Helper BPW The closing meeting of the Helper Business and Professional Women was held at the ISalle Club on May 6. New officers for the next year are President Frances Cunningham, Vice President Pruda Trujillo, Secretary Evelyn Patterick and Treasurer Kathleen Robinson. Many activities are slated for the fall. Of primary concern is the lack of historical resource material in our school libraries and the rest of the county. They entertained with several solo and duet numbers ending with a peppy Polka. The club will be participating in Health Fair 80, in the dedication ceremonies of the new Carbon County Hospital in June and assisting with the county International Days in August. During July they will hold an outdoor social at the home of President Barbara Warren. Plans are being made to attend the state convention at Park City on June 6, 7 and 8. A special tribute was intended to past president Mary Pizza who was recently named Outstanding Woman of Carbon County at the Third Annual Womens Conference.
