The pamphlet will explain to tourists about businesses, tourist attractions, the lifestyle and other interesting things about the North Sevier area. Meeting at the Branding Iron, chamber members also discussed their current financial condition. At the end of December, 1981, the chamber was in the black by $643. Receipts and disbursements both totalled $3,963.96. Wayne Sittre said he was happy about the chamber's positive attitude of late, and said he believes many will join the chamber if approached personally. Some mem bers said they had to ask to join the chamber. He also said he approves of the way President Bob White is approaching things as leader of the chamber. Kindergartners To Register March 2 and 3 Registration will take place March 2 all kindergarten students who will enroll in Sevier School District schools in the fall of 1982. - 3 for At Salina Elementary, registration will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on those two days. It is not necessary for the future kindergarteners to be present for this registration, district officials stated. To qualify for kindergarten enrollment this year, students must reach the age of five on or before Aug. 31, 1982. A birth certificate or other acceptable proof of age must be presented at the time of registration. Some parents might not think registration is important, said Principal Mike Robinson of Salina Elementary School, but we do need this information now in order to make our plans for next year. |
