Show Redmond News TfUvijviU WuAtJUut James Behunin came home from the Utah Valley Hospital a week ago and is doing pretty well, recovering from his accident. Adley Peterson was in the Gunnison Hospital for a few days for tests and treatment. He is doing much better. Bronzell Pickett took Mrs. Pickett (Rula) to the hospital in Salt Lake for a checkup on Monday, Dec. 15. She recently had surgery on her head, and it looked like she was going to have problems. It wasnt serious, however, and she came back home that night. Jan and Jill Bosshardt are home for the holidays from Utah State University staying with their parents, Milo and June Bosshardt. Mrs. Thelma Jensen went into the L.D.S. Hospital in Salt Lake City Wednesday for tests. Her Mrs. daughter-in-law- , Harold (Ilene) Jensen, Gunnison, took her in. , - 529-339- 0 Harold was in Missouri on business and was to fly home Thursday. Doug and Norma went up Saturday to visit Thelma. They took Normas mother, Mrs. Erma Pickett, Gunnison, in to catch the bus for Menan, Idaho to spend Christmas with her son, Jerry Pickett and wife and family. Mark and Michelle Ogden and family, Provo, came Friday to spend Christmas at her parents, Dolph and Joyce Spencer. They attended a wedding for Marks close friend in Richfield Saturday evening. The Elders had a party Wednesday evening. They went Christmas caroling on hay wagons and came back to the cultural hall for hot chocolate and donuts and played games. The Elders presidency hosted it, Russell Wilson, Kenny Nelson, and Glendon Anderson and their wives. The Redmond Clay & Salt Co. hosted a party for their employees Saturday at the DeKator Manor in Salina. Thirty guests enjoyed dinner and games. The employees were presented with gifts. Willis and Anna Fae Hales left Sunday morning for Hanna, Wyo. when they got word that their little granddaughter, Kimberlie, 3Vz, had had an accident. Her mother, Mrs. Kerry (Sherrie) Hales had taken her son, Tyson, V-- , to the doctor. While she was waiting in the office, the ambulance brought her daughter in. She was staying with a neighbor and had fallen into a sewer. The neighbor rescued her, and she wasnt expected to live. With medical help and the Elders being called, she is pulling through. She had breathed in chemical poison. We send our deep concern and best wishes to her and her parents. The family of Evan Mickelsen had Sandy, joined them. Also the girlfriends of Kerry and Randy Peterson, Treesa Christensen of Salina and Shame of Sandy. There were 50 present. Joel and Glenna Lind-harand their daughter t, Mrs. Paul and children, and Jeffery, came Sunday and visited briefly with the Evan Mickel-senThey were enroute to Annabella, where Pauls wife, who was Marion Bagley, will spend a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Bagley. Paul was in Texas on business with his company. Craig and Debbie Lund and family and Rick and Barbara Mickelsen and daughter attended a family dinner and party Saturday evening at their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Verdon Hone in Center-fieldt Lind-hard- in-la- s. d. Santa brought gifts. Sacrament meeting : Youth speakers were Debbie Hales and Ann their Marie Jensen. Elder Christmas party Saturday in the recreation hall. Everyone came, and Mrs. Myma Lee Criger and daughter, Julie, and friend, John Troy of Marlin Mason of Aurora spoke. He recently returned from his mission. High Coundlmen Bradley Johnson and Thad Wasden also spoke. Released were Don Taylor, president M.I.A.; Dorta Taylor, Relief Society work director; Debbie Stubbs, Relief Society crafts. Sustained: Debbie Stubbs, Relief Society, work director. The Sunday School put on a Christmas program Sunday. Songs by the Primary children. Narrator, Jae Laier. In the script, Alma was portrayed by LaMar Bosshardt; Nephi, Milo Bosshardt; Angel, Pres. Jay Christensen. Reader, Carla W ilkins, and a talk by Russell Wilson, with songs by the congregation. Glendon and Raelyn Anderson had her parents, Owen and Superla Staley of Coalville, come to spend the weekend with them. Debbie Willardson, Salt Lake, came home to. visit her parents, Paul and Loretta Willardson, for the holidays. Eric Christensen flew from Hawaii Friday, and Lieut. J.G. and Mrs. Ryan (Verlyn) Christensen and daughter, Marin, came from Oak Harbor, Wash, to spend Christmas with their father, Owen Christensen, and brother, Dirk. Whitney and Mary They played games. This was held in the cultural hall. It was hosted by the presidency, Lillian Hales, Rae Lyn Anderson, Tammy Johnson, and Brenda Chidester. The bishopric and wives were guests. The teachers were given gifts. Burke and Terri Lyn Williams and family were in Salt Lake Saturday and Sunday to attend a Christmas party for the Williams family at the home of his brother, Warren and Donnell Williams. Mike and Jan Evans, who recently moved here, left Tuesday for Delta, Colo, to spend Christmas with her sister, Connie Stubbfield and her family. Russell and Linda Wilson hosted a party for the Elders Quorum presi dency and wives Saturday, Dec. 13, in their home. They served dinner to Burke and Terri Glendon Lyn W illiams, and Raelyn Anderson, Larry and Susan Bosshardt, Glen and LeAnn Pickett. They played games. The Senior Citizens had a social Thursday evening. A ham dinner was served by the lunch committee at 6 p.m. A program followed: Jim Burr from the Salina Fire Department showed fire extinguishers and Thursday December 11, 1980 The Salina Sun ther, Troy, sang more Christmas songs with she and Troy playing guitars. Their parents, dressed as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, came and wishes everyone Merry Christmas and gave them candy canes. Other parts on the program were Natalie Willardson singing and playing her guitar, and piano selections by Paula Barnes and Melvin Lilly. Parents of the children who performed came to see them. Gifts were exchanged. Pres. Sylven Christensen and his wife, Wanda, were in charge of the evening. Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Lilly, Navajo New Mexico, came for their son, Melvin, who is living with the Russell Williams and going to school. ex- plained the importance of installing them. Marcia Bosshardt had her dancing groups dance and sing in costume. Debbie Hales sang Christmas songs during the dinner, accompanying herself on the guitar. Leon and Nayna Christensen, Paul and Pauline Christensen, Salt Lake, and Boyd and Pat Christensen, Salina, and had dinner at their home and exchanged gifts. The family of Charles and Una Hampton held their Christmas party in the Legion Hall Saturday. Attending were Merrill and Faye Hampton and Kevin and Cynthia and her friend, Marlin Mason, Aurora; Willis and Anna Fae Hales and Christine and her friend, Allen Laws, Salt Lake; Keith and Patsy Hampton and family; Jerold and Vonda Colby and Karen; Ronald and Leila SORENSENS COUNTRY STORE then-familie- s Holts Packing Plant Crane and daughter, Craig and Kathy Crane, Russell and Carol Crane, Brent and Marie Crane, and families, Salina; Dave and Adrianne Wootten and family, Salt Lake. Dinner was served to 40. They played games and Santa came and gave gifts. The Primary officers and teachers entertained their husbands with dinner Friday evening. Have you made your will?
