Christmas is a time when we remember and look at the first sign of the Savior given for all people by God. This first sign is a baby wrapped in cloths, and lying in a manger. The baby is Christ Jesus, Gods Son who is both God and man. The scene is one of humbleness and simplicity, yet it holds the greatest gift to all men. Let us bring our faith in a world thats good Our hopes for the triumph of brotherhood , Let us bring our gladness for Him to share Like fragrance to fill the wintry air Let us bring our belief in the goals of youth And our dedication to wisdom and truth Let us bring our hands and offer their strength To do His bidding through each days length cattle, 200 chickens, 5 pigs, 5 sheep; and from Apr. 1 to Oct. 31 for the irrigation of 0.25 acs. in NEV!iNWV4 Sec. 11, T21S, R1W, SLB&M. LEGAL NOTICE The Redmond Town Board meeting has been officially changed from the first Thursday to the first Wednesday of each month, beginning Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1981. Published in The Salina Sun Dec. 11, 18, and 25, 1980. Let us bring Him kindness deep and sincere For people everywhere far and near. Let us offer our hearts above everything For love truly honors the newborn King. Our gift suggestion to each of you is to Love one another, as Jesus would have us do. Sincerely Your Stake Presidency It is a sign which points out to everyone of us what we deserve because of our sinfulness. It is a sign of suffering, pain and death. It is no Jerold N. Johnson Hugh Bird Jay Christensen wonder we would rather not look at Protests resisting the granting of this application with reasons Jan. However, there is a second sign of the Savior which too often during this Christmas time, we either forget or ignore. This second sign is the sign of the cross. this gruesome sign. After all, Christmas is a time of joy and making merry. Yet the fact remains, Jesus, the baby lying in the manger, suffered and died on the cross in place of us to pay the price for all of our sins. But the story of Jesus does not end with His death as does other mortal mens. Being God, He raised Himself from the dead and has won the victory over sin and death. This victory He offers to everyone of us. Jesus has turned the gruesome sign of the cross into one of joy and thanksgiving. Because of the cross of Christ, all people are offered the gift of eternal life; a gift, not deserved or earned by anyone but offered to all thru Gods love. To those who believe in Jesus Christ and trust in Him for salvation, the two signs of the Savior point to the only way to eternal life and to the true meaning of Christmas. May the true meaning of Christmas bring joy, peace, thanksgiving and eternal life Wishing you the pleasures of a real family holiday. To you and your loved ones, our thanks.
