I believe we must take every opportunity to prevent Sevier Countys inundation by federal land with Number of cases and amounts of fines and fees collected in the Sevier County North Justice of the Peace precinct have risen dramatically since 1971. Figures provided by Thad Wasden, Aurora, who began serving as the Justice ol the Peace in 1971, show that there were 320 criminal cases recorded that year, as compared to 3,366 in 1977. Fines collected in were $5,633, to compared $80,418 m 1977. During the first eight months of 1978 (through August), Judge Wasden recorded 2,294 criminal cases, of which 47 were dismissed.
