Fillmore, Friday. The family of Que Mickelsen went on a three-dacamping Flats. Mr. and trip at Mrs. Ronald Bosshardt, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Mickelsen, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Mickelsen, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Streadbeck and families, and Que and Mathel all went. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jensen and Mary Sorenson had her nissionary companions, Mary Vstel, of Fair Oaks, Calif., visit ler and Earl Friday, July 21. She and Mr. and Mrs. Evan 3air were on their way to see he Mormon Miracle Pageant. Mr. and Mrs. Kim Despain ind son, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Despain and family and their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Despain were in Fishlake over last weekend. They stayed in the cabin of the Anderson family of Manti, Mrs. Kim Despains grandparents. Tuesday, the Relief Society had s Day. The lunch was pot luck with the presidency furnishing the rolls and cake and ice cream. Mini classes were held. Betty Lewis and JoeAnn Heath helped them make ceiling dust mop dolls. Susan Allred showed how to make shrink art. Joyce Spencer had painted dish towels. Phyllis Jensen had stick people. Tammy Johnson helped make cookies. Betty Miller had a beginners quilt. Burton Christensen went to Salt Lake to spend the 24th of July and watch the parade. He visited his nephew and family, Mr. and Mrs. Marshal Soren- y le family, Salt Lake, visited Friday, July 21, to Wednesday, the 26th, with his mother, Mrs. Vontess Jensen. The Senior Citizens sponsored a pressure cooker testing Friday at the Legion Hall. JoAnn Mortensen, tension Agent, was Mothers-Daughter- County Exin charge. Friday and Saturday, July 21 and ,22, Orvil and Ethel Jensen and all their family attended the B.H. Jolley family reunion at the Orlando Jolly Ranch in Hoble Creek Canyon. There were 174 members attending. Albert Poulson was in Salt Lake for a few days, visiting friends and relatives. Mrs. Jarl Klungervik and children, Robyn and Brent, Heber City, came Sunday to Tuesday to visit her parents, the Evan Mickelsens. Lester Jensen went to Fillmore to attend the funeral Orrin for his brother-in-law- , Peterson. His children, Bert and Sandra Jensen and family, Hunter, were here for the weekend. Gerry and Beth Poulson and family and Jim and Faye OBrien and family came Sunday night, and they all went on to Lake Powell son, Sandy. Saturday to Monday, Mr. and Mrs. Dell Christensen, Magna, and their son, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Christensen and daughter, Stephanie, visited Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Peterson. Tuesday, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Morley, Kaysville, visited them enroute home from Denver. They stayed overnight. Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rasmussen, Midvale, came, and Saturday, they took Sidney and Nellie to Fishlake for dinner. Max Peterson and his children, Ann and Mike, went to Yellowstone Tuesday to Saturday. They visited in Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Olsen and Mr. and Mrs. Preston Pickett. Duane Anderson was invited to go with the Little League team from Salina, the Eagles. They left Monday with their coach, Stanley Simpson, for Orem to participate in the State Little League Tournament. Monday on vacation. Calvin Hales and his sister, Karen, went to Provo and Salt Lake over the weekend and visited friends and relatives. They were guests of Karens friend, Carol Nielson, and her parents. Speakers Sunday evening in church were Kent and Donna Osborn and Arnold and Helen Willardsen. Lorraine Peterson and Marjorie Mickelsen played a violin duet, The Lord is My Shepherd, accompanied by Ella Lee Lund. Mr. and Mrs. Kendyl Wilkins and family attended a Hansen family reunion at Mayfield Park Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. sen, Salt Lake, and their son, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Christensen and baby, Draper, were camping at Salina Reservoir a few days. Don Draper, Sacramento, Calif., who was visiting his mother, Alveretta Draper, went up and rode horses for a day with them. Clifford Christensen went to Salt Lake Friday and visited his children. They came down to Springville Canyon Sunday for a Christensen reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Christensen and family went up to it Sunday. Kyran and Diane Sorenson and children, Toni, Tiffany, and Paul, are living in the mobile home of Jerald and Sandra Nielson. They came from and he is driving coal truck. We welcome them here. Jerald and Sandra have moved into their new home inst west of their mobile home. Debbie Hales went with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Rees Nelson, home after the 24th of July. She visited them and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Hales. Sunday, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Hales and family and Hilton Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Terrel Nelson and Kirby, and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Nelson went to Salt Lake and attended a farewell testimonial for Bryan Nelson, who is going to the Tennessee mission. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Santon Nelson, of Holladay. Debbie came home with her parents. Philo and Velma Rasmussen have had a very busy and interesting two weeks. July 17, they drove to Fishlake to be with Philos brothers and only sister, Lowell and Ruth Rasmussen, from Pullman, Washington;. Ellis and Oda Rasmussen, Orem; Rodney and Frances Rasmussen, Salt Lake; Kay and Betty Rasmussen, Springville. LaRee Root and daughter, Marilyn, came from Springfield, Virginia to spend a very enjoyable reunion until July 20. On July 21, Philo and Velma drove to Salt Lake City for another reunion. This time it included as many of the Hans Rasmussen family that wanted to attend. Aunt Allie Barnes came from California to spend a week or two with the folks there. She was so pleased to see all of the relatives. This was held in Liberty Park on July 22. They spent the weekend visiting family and other relatives, and they returned home by way of Manti, where they visited Velmas brother, LeAnne Huntsman lvirs. Dan smith, ot Joseph, visited with Doris Knapp. Friendship with the Smiths was one of the reasons the Knapps moved to this valley. Mr. and Mrs. Venoy Curtis traveled to Salt Lake City Sunday afternoon to spend the 24th with Venna and Earl Severance. They went io the parade and other events. Nina Masons brother, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Sorensen, of Tempe, Ariz., were in town for the weekend. Robert Sampson has returned from his trip to the eastern states. Recent new memberships into the ward: Richard and Rose Marie Van Dyke and Anthony; Steven and Lory Hoidaway; Jerry and Leisa Deaton and Dustin. Luanna Mothersheads mother, Wilma Powers, is here visiting. Todd and Holly McAllister have just moved to town. Todd is the grandson of Gladys Spencer. They live south of the Spencer home. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Mason were busy last week entertaining guests. Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. H.T. Murphy, of Corpus Christi, Texas, were here; Thursday, Mr. and Mrs. Levoy Mason, of Santa Clara, and her sister, Mrs. Myrl Ott, of Salt Lake City, visited. On Friday, Mrs. Wallace Sorenson, Richfield, and Mrs. James Walton, of Tremonton, stopped by for a visit. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Johnsons home is Mrs. Johnsons mother, Margaret Nelson, of Redmond. vice Johnson, president of the Utah Farm Bureau, is attending policy Jerold development meetings in Salt Lake City this week. The Primary will be holding Stake Primary Choir practices for children 2 every Saturday, Aug. 5, 12, and 19, at 10 a.m. in the new Stake Center, in preparation drove to Fillmore for the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Karol Draper and daughter, Mrs. Danny (Judy) Loftland, Fillmore, and Mr. and Mrs. Sam (Clover) Watson and family, from Crescent City, Calif., visited Sunday with Mrs. Alveretta Draper. ' There seems to be no words available to express our thanks to our many friends that helped in many ways at the time of our shock and sorrow of losing Lowell. We can really see why he loved Salina and the people all around. Thanks for the flowers, cards, visits, food, money, friendship, and thoughts of those who could not be here.
