That decision, on the future needs of sewer service at the citys west end, was to combine two recommendations staff members had made, allowing developers to build out current pump stations while also developing new stations within four newly designated zones. Council member Gary Kapp, who made the original motion, again explained his position. Let the developers bring in their plans. If they cant design something that works, then let them go home, he said. build-out- ? Wade said, Total build-owill have to be engineered in each zone by the first developer going in. While outside playing basketball he had one of his front teeth completely jerked out of his mouth. He had jumped up to slam dunk the ball and one of the loops on the net came loose and somehow wrapped around the tooth and jerked it out as he came back down. The tooth was found and put back in. The process to save it was supposed to have been completed this year. When the dentist put the tooth back in he started a root canal and said he would have to wait a year to finish it. Well, the year is here and the dentist wont complete the job without the money. The total cost is going to be around $598 of which our Insurance will pay half. There isnt any way we can come up with the $249 we're responsible for and the dentist insists on having the money up front. I'm disabled and my husband's job vanes from week to week. We don't have anyone we can turn to for help. Mrs. C. W. The Eagle, Dothan, AL Dear Mrs. W.: You undoubtedly know your situation better than I, but I venture to say you have people you could turn to for help-you-'re just not comfortable doing so. That pretty much explains why my column has worked so well for the last 15 years. It's called no risk asking. You write a letter, explain what you need and the worst thing is you get no response or a turn down. But theres no loss of esteem because you know were not going to bump into each other at church or the grocery store. And then for some there's the positive response-th- e old the check's in the mair line, which is true In your case. Best wishes. 3 Dear Mr. Ross: My husband and I are 77 and 78 years old. We can only afford a one bedroom apartment, which means we share the same bed. He wants sex every night. I think this is too much. I would like to sleep in the living room, but we have only a love seat and 3 chairs in the living room. I need a sofa I can open Into a bed at night. This would cost $600, which I can't afford. I do love my husband and there will be sex at times, just not every night. Mrs. R. W. ... Desert Sun, Palm Springs, CA Dear Mrs. W.: I now know of one man who doesn't need to take Viagra. I'm turning down your request and here's why: I doubt very much that sleeping in another room is going to curb your husbands sexual appetite. Perhaps If he couldnt access you in the living room, you might have had a workable plan. jj Dear Mr. Ross: When I wrote yesterday concerning the desperate need of my fnend, I completely forgot to mention to you the one thing she needs that is so important. She asked me to save Depends coupons for her as they are so expensive. She needs them for her ill husband, who has lost control of his kidneys. When her husband had the heart attack and stroke, she found out they were penniless, had a mountain of bills on credit cards and her home had been mortgaged to the hilt. This dear lady had always stayed at home and raised their 3 sons-nev- er worked outside the home. She is now babysitting 5 babies in diapers while taking care of her ill husband. She is 64 years old. II you could possibly help with a donation of any amount, she would be so grateful. I realize this would be a one time help, but it would be a lilesaver. Mrs. B. C. ... Star Banner, Ocala, FL Dear Mrs. C.: Shocked, angry, depressed. If I were in your friend's shoes that's the gamut of emotions I would have gone through. Life can be so unfair, ft wont balance the scales, but the check Im sending will purchase a supply of Depends. And if your friend elects to take one and stuff it In her husband's mouth, should he begin to complain, who among us could fault her?
