Show LAKESIDE Lakeside Review Tuesday, March 12. 1996 5 Science fair attracts creative bunch More than 600 ;of Utahs brigh-teand most creative science and engineering students will participate in the Utah Science and Engineer8 ing Fair March at the Dee Events Center. The entry deadline for the statewide competition is March 15. The overall purpose of the fair is to encourage students in the sciences, said Michael Slabaugh, a WSU professor of chemistry and coordinator of the annual fair. "It provides the students with the opportunity to have fun with science six and seven, is set for March The public is invited to view the projects March 25 from 9 p.m. and March 26 from 9 a.m. to 7:30 st 25-2- 6. 6-- 25-2- ,p.m. More than 350 students from 51 schools are expected to participate in this division. The senior division, grades eight through 12, will take place March 27-2- The public is invited to view the projects March 27 from 9 p.m. and March 28 from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. 6-- and recognize those students who have achieved in the science area. Slabaugh said the participants - 250 students from 25 schools will compete in the senior category. The awards program for the junior division is March 26 and the senior division will be recognized March 28. Both programs begin at 7 p.m. in the Dee Events Center.
