The Miss Utah Pageant is the forerunner to the Miss American contest. Admission price is $2 for 5 adults; cost for children ages is $1. Ages 4 and under will be admitted at no charge. Tickets can be purchased at Layton Office Supply and Layton in advance or at the door that night. Contestants are: Joselyn Bowden, daughter of Joseph and Robinette Bowden, graduated from Layton High School this year. She plans to attend Weber State College in the fall where she will major in child psychology. She has trained in piano, flute and tumbling and will perform a flute solo for her talent number. Susan Child, daughter of Dale and Diane Child, will graduate in 1991 from Layton High School. The pageant, which starts at 7 p.m. at Layton High School audi- torium, will feature Jacque and a Miss Utah for 1989-9- 0 Lay-to- - Tin-ge- y, ca Pageant. More than $1,000 in scholarships will be given along with other awards. The new Miss Layton will represent Layton City for the upcoming year and will compete in the Miss Utah Scholarship Pag 12-- Surf-N-Swi- m Upon graduation Susan plans to attend BYU where she will major in education. Her training has been in piano, flute, violin, dance, clogging and ballet. She will play a piano solo for her talent number.
