Owner Mary Hamilton says Im getting the feel of what the public wants now but I may specialize later when she finds out what shoppers like. She says her shop is different. She opened for business on Nov. 6. Shoppers will find assorted colored baskets, crystal candle holders, wreaths, grapevine leaves decorated with flowers, wicker or bamboo wall hangers, and a teddy bear everybody loves. Large silk poinsettias sort of cabinets, and velvety, fold-obeeswax candles for decorating are featured. Later on, shell have balloon bouquets and mesh butterflies, chickens and owls. Ron and Dana Wright, owners of the floral business, come from a long line of florists. Mrs. Wrights grandfather owned a floral shop then her father began one in Farmington. He later bought greenhouses and moved his business to Kaysvilie. Kaysvilie Floral was originally owned by the family. At the age of 16, Mrs. Wright was sent to floral school in Cali- fornia where she completed an course in just three months because of her background in the floral business. eight-mon- th of owning a shop of her own and had the desire to locate in an old home. Here her business grew and when an old home at 196 W. 200 N. became available her childhood dream was finally fulfilled. The Dandelion Cottage was named after a book about an old home that was not taken care of, said Mrs. Wright. A new workroom was added at the back of the old house, the porch was extended to make it larger and a bay window was added.
