Show 2C Lakeside Review, Wednesday, January 20, 1988 Figure skaters place at nationals Sports briefs Cross country ski class set to begin Practices will be held grades twice a week on Mondays and p.m. Wednesdays from starting Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the Clearfield High School wrestling room. Matches will be held on Thursday nights from 7 p.m. at various sites along the Wasatch Front. Cost will be $15 for Clearfield residents and $22 for nonresidents. A $20 uniform deposit will be required. The deposit will be held until the uniform is returned. Head instructor for the program will be Scott Tennis, Clearfield High School Wrestling Coach. Freestyle wrestling on Saturdays is optional for those that have signed up for the youth wrestling program. An additional fee per match will be charged. Registrations will be taken at the Clearfield Parks and Recreation Office, 40 S. 125 E., starting Tuesday, Jan. 19, through Tuesday, Feb. 16. An additional fee of $3 will be addressed for late registrations occurring after the Tuesday, Feb. 16 deadline. For further information, call 9. 30 Layton City Recreation and . The course will consist of two dryland sessions involving learn-- . ing how to put on equipment, the ; use of the equipment and cloth- 5-- ing. On snow experience will also be a part of the second dry land class. The third class will consist of on snow classes for instruction on how to cross country ski and a tour. The dry land sessions will be held, Feb. 11 and 18 at 6:30 until 8:30 in the Old Parks and Recreation building located at 437 Wasatch Drive, Layton. The cross ski class instruction and country ' tour will be held Feb. 20. Registration is now being taken at the Layton City Parks and Recreation Department at 465 N. 275 E. at our new wave pool ; complex. Registration is $21 per person which includes the rental of equipment.
