July 22, 1987, at her home of causes incident to age. She was born Sept. 12. 1895, in Wilson Lane, a daughter of Alfred Robert and Margaret Ernestine Bingham Watson. , She married Alvin Joseph Sharp on ,Oct. 2. 1913, in the Salt Lake LDS - Temple. He died April 29, 1980. She had lived in Wilson Lane: Ogden; Acequia, Idaho: Preston, Idaho-- ' Glendale. Idaho: Smithfield, Inkom, Ida ho; Fairview, Idaho; Sunset and in . Clin-to- , J n. She was a member of the Clinton 8th LDS Ward. She had served as president, a visiting teacher, Era director, a custodian for the church, had sung in the church choir and singing mothers, was a Sunday school teacher, counselor of the Young Womens and had served on the genealogy ry committee. She had been active In civic activities. Surviving are three sons and one daughter, Lyman J. Sharp, Whitney, Idaho; Owen W. Sharp, Fairview, Idaho; Clyde D. Sharp, Clinton; Mrs. Mert (Donna Sharp) Kendall, Oxford, Idaho; 35 grandchildren, 113 dren and 26 Also surviving are one brother and four sisters, Marion B. Watson, River-- dale; Genet Olverson, Idaho Falls, Ida--., ho; Margaruitte Packham and Merl Arnold both of Kaysville; Emily Stoker, ' Craig, Colo. Two daughters preceded her in death. Services were held Saturday at the Clinton 8th Ward Chapel, 702 W. 1300 N., with Bishop Keith H. Wheatley off- E. Catherine A. Hunt 'Buzz' Ellison SALT LAKE Ephraim Buzz Ellison, 82, of 185 N. West Temple, died Friday, July 17, 1987, in Salt Lake City of heart failure. He was born Nov. 29, 1904 in Lay-toUtah, a son of James E. and Jane Watt Ellison. He married Florence Cooley April 1, 1923 in Malad, Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He attended the University of Utah where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He served an LDS mission to the Eastern states. He worked for the Layton Sugar Company for 40 years, becoming manager and later president until the company was sold. He recently retired after managing the El Drisco Hotel in San Francisco for 18 years. He had been active in political and civic affairs, serving as Mayor of Lay- -, ton, town board member, charter president of the Layton Rotary Club and president of the Weber Basin Conservancy District. He was former bishop of the Layton 4th LDS Ward and was a member of the stake high council in the San Francisco area. Recently he served as a volunteer with the LDS locator service and the Book of Morman missionary project. He was an avid enthusiast of model railroading and had built extensive models everywhere he had lived. Surviving are his widow of Salt Lake City; two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Daryl (Jean) Warren, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Ralph (Kathryn) Firth, Lay-toE, Peter Ellison, Sunset; Edward A. (Ted) Ellison, Fruit Heights; 16 grandchildren and seven CITY-Haro- e Anne Hunt, 48, of 1776 N. 3200 E., died Thursday, July 16, 1987 at her home of cancer. She was born April 11, 1939 in Seattle, Wash., a daughter of Thor and Dorothy Hvatum Bjornstad. She married Conlan Dahl in Seattle, Wash. They were later divorced. She married Gilbert J. Hunt May 3, 1963 in Centerville, Utah. She graduated from Ballard High School in Seattle, Wash.. She attended Weber State College where she earned a CRS and GRI. She received a certificate in logistics management. LAYTON-Catherln- ld n, She had been employed at Grand Central, IRS as a tax examiner, Hill Air Force Base in procurement and accounting. She had also worked for Layton City. She was a licensed real estate agent . She was a long-tim- e member of the ' Million Dollar Club and was top salesperson for many years with Wardley Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate. At the time of her death she was one of the top salespersons for Network Homes and Land in Layton. She had held positions on several committees on the Ogden Board of Realtors and the Council of Women Realtors. She was an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society, being a successful fundraiser for them for several years. She was an accomplished painter for which she received several awards. She was also a seamstress. She enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and marksman. She was a gourmet cook and help to organize a gourmet club that met for over n; 14 years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Layton. Surviving are her husband of Lay-to- n. iciating. Interment, Lindquists Memorial dens of the Wasatch. Giles will conclude the program with Nocturne in B major. Op. 62, 1 and Op. 61. A regular performer in the Temple Square Concert Series, Christo-- . pher Giles teaches piano in Lo- , gan, Utah. . Contralto Mary Wescott will appear in recital on Saturday evening. Ms. Wescott will also sing five songs of her own composing, inspired by the works of American poet e.e. cummings. The final selections of the evening will be sacred music, including Come Ye Disconsolate," The Lord Is My Light," I Walked Today, and The Cross." Known primarily as a concert and oratorio singer, Wescott has performed with sym- phony and chamber orchestras in many parts of the United States. She was born Dec. 19, 1911 in Huntsville, Utah, a daughter of Peter Cornelius and Emily Jane Newey Poul- Frank Brooks sen. She married Charles Arthur Mitchell Jan. 21, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS OGDEN-Fran- Work- heart attack. He was born July 4, 1911 in Ogden, Utah, a son of David and Elizabeth Leigh Brooks. He married Jean Brooks. They were later divorced. He had been a box maker for Pierces Canning Company in Ogden. He lived most of his life in Ogden and was a member of the LDS Church, Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Jacksen, Omaha, Neb.; one grandchild and two teacher. Surviving are one son and one daughter, Charles P. Mitchell, Layton; Jane Howard, Ogden; and seven n, grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and one sister, Frank Poulsen, Rigby, Idaho; Ruth Maw, Plain City. She was preceded in death by one n. Also surviving are two brothers, William H. He two sons and one daughter, Gary Workman, Ron Workman Hill, both of Fruit Heights; Jo Ann Freitas, Ben Sa- daughter of Casey Martin and Ann Rogers Stock, of 255 E. man, 70, Of 1729 W. 1700 S., died Thursday, July 16, 1987 at a local nursing home heart failure. He was born July 13, 1917 in Lay-toa son of Charles Heber and Laura Eveline Hill Workman. He married Ruth E. Close April 25, 1954 in Elko, Nev. The marriage was later solemized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He had lived most of his life in Syracuse and attended Davis County schools, graduating from Davis High School. He was a member of the Syracuse 6th LDS Ward, where he was a High Priest and had held many other positions. He was know throughout the State of Utah for breeding and racing quality horses. He was a member of the Davis County Sheriff's Posse, the American Jr. retiring in 1983. Surviving are his widow of Syracuse, Stock a cer. She was born Nov. 18, 1913 in Lewiston, Utah, a daughter of Francis Marion and Louesa Wheeler Stephenson Quarter Horse Association and a member of the Wasatch Slope and Beehive Cutter' Associations. This, work was commissioned by the Wilford Woodruff Family Association on the occasion of President Woodruffs 180th birthday celebration in March, 1987.
