Show 2 South Weber pageants Aug. SOUTH WEBER The Miss South Weber pageant and the Miss Ruffles and Blue Jeans Pageant for younger girls will be held Aug. I in the Clearfield High School Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Miss South Weber contestants are: Sheri Stanger, daughter of Dave Stanger and Pam Stanger. Pony Club provides the opportunity for young riders to develop English riding and horse management skills and to instill in them a; love and ability to care for horses. Their group leaders name is Christine Polier. President is Charity Polier; vice president, Alicia Sorenson; secretary, Kristina Garcia; and reporters Amber Thomson, Suzanne Croft, and Chatty Marino. Other members are: Ashley Sinclair, Jenni Ledkins, and Jami Wheeler. They work on craft projects such as: coiling, glass etching, and tole painting. All members except one attended camp at Monte Cris-tThe workshops they enjoyed the most were leadership training, and the copper craft. They have planned a potluck and sleepover for their summer closing activity. During this summer meeting they will make a soda candle and work on our personal 4H record books. 4-- H 4-- H o. Study to teach retailing A new independent study program designed to provide concepts and skills for retailers desiring additional expertise in sales and retailing is now being offered at Weber State College. According to Dr. Dennis program administrator, These courses are particularly appropriate for those desiring middle management positions in retail sales and merchandising, department managers, fashion coordinators, buyers, sales promotion mangers, personnel directors, and display, sales, or wholesale managers.
