Mrs. Lomax recently opened Magic Mill and Bosch Center at 136 N. Main in Layton. She has been involved with the Magic Mill Company for the past 10 years. She said she grew to love Magic Mill because it is such a neat product. She has sold the Magic Mill wheat grinders and Bosch food processers at other Magic Mill outlets and through a home business. Those items will now be available at her new store. But the shop will also offer customers much more. Mrs. Lomax said she will stress service and a friendly atmosphere because she likes people and wants to convey an enthusiastic feeling about what she and her employees, Ann Jensen and Darlene Wardleigh, are owner-manage- r, doing. Quality will also be a key word. Several of the food products she sells work best when stored in a cool place, so a large cooling unit was placed in the shop. Fresh roasted nuts should acalways be kept in the cooler, because cording to Mrs. Lomax, they can loose some of their freshness and taste when stored on a shelf. She will offer several varieties of fresh nuts. She will also stock a variety of distribcheeses from utors, in both 2- - and bricks, at an economical price. Bulk foods are also available in either large or small quantities. Some of the items offered at Magic Mill are wheat, oats, rice, brown and powdered sugar, granola mix, popcorn, chocolate chips, raisins, cocoa and candy. Mrs. Lomax said she will not only be selling grain items, but will teach women how to make delicious foods with them. On Monday and Saturday mornings, demonstrations will be given in the store, which has a n complete with everything needed to provide the demonstrations. Classes will be offered in both white and n whole wheat, cooking, pasta, gourmet cooking, and other subjects. Demonstrations on using the products sold at the shop can be seen anytime. It is not necessary to own a Magic Mill food grinder to attend the free classes. A bonus to all those who stop by the Magic Mill shop will be a loaf of freshly baked bread. Mrs. Lomax and her husband e residents of Dave are Layton. He is a partner in the Layton Auto Sales firm. They are the parents of four children; Todd, Brad, Jennifer, and Jill, who will also be helping with the new business.
