He is currently district manager for the Davis County Solid Waste Management and Energy Recovery Special Service District and serves as chairman of the South Weber Planning Commission. He is also a member of the international as well as Utah City Management associations. Among the goals Young has as a council member is to work aggressively to attract clean, light business to appropriate areas of South Weber. It is his feeling that this expansion of the economic base is essential to minimize the property tax burden on the and to maintain a high level of services at the lowest pos- -' sible cost to the consumer. In addition. Young, as chairman of the Ogden Area Transportation Advisory Commission, has been actively pursuing the extension of Adams Avenue into South Weber. This is important to provide South Weber residents with an alternative and much quicker access to emergency services. He will continue to pursue this possibility. Young is also interested in bringing the community closer together by increasing the dialogue and spirit of cooperation among all the neighborhoods of South home-own- er Nevada. I have had extensive experience dealing with people, all of whom had their own separate concerns and interests. I have developed the ability to listen with understanding to these people so that I can accurately relate their true feelings and concerns. He attended Weber State College. He is married to the former Karen Wilson, also of South Weber. The Peeks have three daughters, Natalie, Amy and Melissa. Peek has been employed by Mountain States. He worked construction for several years before going to Hill Air Force Base. He is presently a supervisor at. the base egress shop. Peek is also part owner and operator of a farm in South Weber.
