Ross e Sanders, resident and well known leader in Clearfield City, was selected as an area lieutenant governor of Division II in o the District of International. Kiwanis is a world-wid- e community service organization of businessmen and civic leaders. There are nine Kiwanis clubs in division II over which Sanders will preside. These clubs are Bonneville Salt Lake City, Crossroads Salt Lake City, Bountiful, Kaysville, Layton, Clearfield, Clinton, and Tooele. Sanders duties include organizing new clubs, installing officers. inducting new members, visiting all clubs on a regular basis. and coordinating their activio ties. He reports to the governor. Lieutenant Governors are selected a year before they begin long-tim- Utah-Idah- Ki-wa- Lake-vie- Utah-Idah- w, their duties for training and indoctrination. This past summer he attended the y international convention at Toronto, Canada, as part of his training. Sanders has been a member of the Clearfield Club for 30 years and has served as secretary, vice president, president, and board member. Other community leadership activities include mayor of Clearfield and church positions as high councilman, counselor in stake presidency, bishop, and patriarch. On Oct. 25, Sanders will host o the governor at the annual Division Banquet to be held at the Red Flame Restaurant in Bountiful.
