Lakeside Review, Wednesday, October 16, 1985 3A Housing, highways worry Clearfield's Safety Council CHERILYN KAWA Review Correspondent CLEARFIELD The citys safety council reported to the Clearfield City Council last week their concerns, hoping for some remedies. Council Chairman John Coffey told the council there are no fences in Clearfields Foxdale Apartments. He said the council members are worried about chil dren going behind the development where there are railroad tracks and ditches. Its kind of scarey, he said. City Manager Wally Baird said cinderblock storage sheds were on the proposed site plan and were to serve as the buffer. He said he would send a letter to Ivory Company stating if they did not have the sheds, the company must offer an alternative such as that problem and the site plan only requires one for phase one but for further development, the apartments would have to have another exit off 200 South. Getting off Interstae 15 at nearby Hill Air Force Base gates at 650 North and 700 South were also big concerns, said Coffey. Ive had a lot of frustrated callers on that, said Mayor Neldon Hamblin. You take your life in a fence. "Cinder storage sheds were the selling point to either put them ' (the apartments) in or revise the plans, said Councilman Ivan Anderson. Coffey said another concern about Foxdale is it only has one exit. In case of an emergency, people only have one way out, he said. Baird said he had researched Hamblin thanked the safety ' council for keeping in tune with the safety items in Clearfield. He said there was one fatality last year on 700 South. The city council members said they would look into the safety councils concerns. -- PLACE PERFECT THE Federal campaign to aid organizations Over 26,000 federal employees Utah are trying to raise more than million dollars in the 24th annual Northern Utah Combined Federal President John F.
