The first year of a child's life is a crucial time as he lays the foundation for the many years to follow, according to center ini' BUIODING offi- cials. During this time, the child experiences tremendous growth in the physical, intellectual and social realms.. FURRING STRIPS There is much for the young infant to accomplish. The first year in the life of a baby is an exciting time for the parents as they watch the rapid changes take place, but it also can be a time of challenges, questions and uncertainties. The classes are scheduled to begin Wednesday, Feb. 8, and will continue through March 7. The location for the series is the Parent Education Resource Center which ia located in the Monte Vista Center, 77 So. 300 East, Farmington. Classes will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Buy 'em by the bundle! She will cover the critical milestones the infants pass as they develop motor, language, social and intellectual skills. She will also discuss many common concerns parents share such as feeding, sleeping and behavior difficulties. Ath-lee- OFF Mrs. Coyner obtained lor and master degrees from the University of Utah College of Nursing., She was a maternal child health consultant for the Utah Department of Health for more than 10 years. Wells. Armed Forces The four-yeHealth Professions Scholarships pay full tuition plus the cost of books, fees and laboratory' expenses, and more than $550 per month of living expenses. To be eligible, a student must be a U.S. citizen accepted for enrollment in an approved school of Allopathic or Osteopathic medicine, said Captain Wells. Participation is based on competitive selection.. ' There is a Air Force service obligation for the first two years a student is in the program. Thereafter, there is a obligation for every six months or less participation.
