Show laaaaaasaaaaaaaaaaaaaE The View From Here By Ruth 10 I heard Christie Lund Coles, a well known Utah poet, say recently that you can tell a persons personality by the way they eat pie. She said that it wasnt her own idea but was the result of someone elses study, but if a person eats the pie starting at the point it is Supposed to indicate that the person faces a problem squarely, head-o- n, but if he eats the crust edge first it indicates that the person shuns responsibility. He said that only one thing could spoil one of his wifes pies and that was cutting it. He was a skinny little man all of his life and no one would dream that he ate pie like he did, but he usually ate a whole one at a time. Now this may tell you different things about his character and such, but it tells me just one thing--th- at Uncle Sid was mighty fortunate. He was one of those thin people who could have his pie and eat it too, and not show it. His wife was a former pastry maker in a large hotel dining room and accustomed to making many pies each day while she worked, so after her marriage she continued to make some once or twice every week. Her husband felt that she was the best cook in the state and seemed to have the idea that he didnt want her to forget how to cook. Whenever he sat down to a meal he always ate his dessert first. He claimed that this was the part of the meal he most enjoyed so he wanted to be sure that he at least got that part if anything happened that he couldnt eat all of the meal. A trait such as that probably portrays something.
