Mrs. Josephine Lux of Oxnard, Calif, home last week to attend funeral services for her aunt, Mrs. Grace M. Stapley Ince. JUSTICE American Legion The Payson American Legion held a meeting Friday, April 24, at 8:30 at the American Legion Hall Elections were held for new oficers of Post 48 for the Noel Dixon was elected coming year. The legionaires decided to put a flag pole at Payson City Hospital and dedicate it with a bronze plaque in memory of Ross Dowdle, a real dedicated freedom democracy past Legionaire and faithful American Patriot. Commaner Max Llewellyn announced he is going to run for District Commander of District 4. LeRoy Heath is running for Vice Commander of the District. At present LeRoy is the 2nd Vice Commander of the District. Commander and Mrs. Max Llewellyn traveled to Salt Lake City over the weekend to visit Milton Hall Adjutant of Post 48, who is in the Veterans Hospital recuperating from an eye operation. He is doing very nicely and expects to be home in the near future. Peteetneet School has just completed a very successful anti litter campaign contest. Posters were made by students from the third, fourth and fifth grades. The winners were each presented with a prize. The winning posters were made by , front row: Bobby Carter, Joanna Montaque, Inga Dodd and Kim Cook. Mrs. Devor Sorensen entertained the O.N.O. Club at her home last Thursday. A tasty luncheon was served, cards were played and prizes won by Sylvia Steck high, Fern Horton and Elaine Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Thompson and their three children were in Salt Lake City last Thursday evening to attend the Ice F ollies at the Salt Palace. of all sets repaired in the home. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Sorensen, Mrs. Hazel Cook and Mrs. Naomi Jermain were in Spanish Fork last Thursday where they attended funeral services for their aunt, Grace Ince, 89. Mrs. Ince passed away at the Payson Hospital last Sunday. Burial was in the Payson City Cemetery. The 4-- H preparing clubs of Goshen are busy for their annual Community which will be held May 8th at 7 p.m. at the Goshen American Legion Hall. A Fashion Show and many demonstrations will be presented by the young and their faithful leaders. County officers will also be present. Please keep this date open and plan to attend a very worthwhile evening. The doors will be open to the public at 10 a.m, Friday May 8th.
