Mae Stark Chambers Laura Jean Miller We Joseph E. ural causes. He was born June in Goshen, a son of Andrew and Christine Hensen Sorensen. He married Elizabeth Jasperson on Feb. 19, 1901, in Goshen. She died July 8, 1937. He married Christine Syd-link- er on April 7, 1933, in Provo. She died May 5, 1963. Mr. Sorensen was a member of the LDS church. McClellan Joseph Earl McClellan, 84, long time resident of Payson, died Aug. 18 at his home of He was employed as a rancher most of his life and had retired. Survivors include a son, Lloyd Sorensen of Lehi; two grandchildren and four natural causes. He was born March 28, 1884, at Pleasantton, New Mexico, a son of William C. and Elsie J. Richardson McClellan. He married Lois E. Hurst Oct. 2, 1907, in the Salt Lake Temple. Funeral services were She died Dec. 4, 1928. He married Daisy Evans Aug. 22, 1944, in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. McClellan was reared in the LDS Mexican colonies, where he attended the Juarez Stake Academy. He lived in old Mexico until immediately prior to the Mexican Revolution, when he returned to Utah. He was a carpenter, builder and architect. In recent years he operated a rehabilitation and diet home in Payson in association with his wife. An active member of the LDS church, Mr. McClellan spent six years recently as an ordinance worker at the Manti Temple. He has served as a High Priest in Nebo a member of Nebo Stake Stake, High Council, a member of the Payson Third Wardbishopric under Bishop Leonard Hill for five years, was a member of the presidency of the Third Ward MIA and also held other offices in the church. He fulfilled a mission to Old Mexico and also a Nebo Stake mission. Surviving are sons and daughters as follows: Clyde E. McClellan, Pavson; Grant H. McClellan, Auburn, Calif.; E. Louis McClellan, Provo; Mrs. Leland S. (Leonore) Hicks, Evanston, 111.; Mrs. Jesse (Ruth) Harding, Provo; Mrs. Eldred (Reva) Allred, Roosevelt; a brother and a sister, Wilford McClellan, Delta; Mrs. Alta Provo; 24 grandchildren; 21 Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Payson Fourth Ward Church. For many years she had been employed at the Payson City Hospital, and for a time she worked at the Utah State Hospital inProvo. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Payson. She was also a member of Beta Cultus Club in Pavson. Survivors include her husband of Payson; three sons L.K. two and daughters, Jacobs and Bruce E. Jacobs, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; Frank and Mrs. Layne C. Jacobs (Myrtis) Balzley, both of Pay-so- n, and Mrs. Allen (Kathryn) Alispach, San Diego, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, and three brothers and three sisters, Mrs. Rene Scholef, Mountain View, Calif.; Mrs. Marvin Buell, Corte Madia, Calif.; Mrs. Paul (Joce) Jones and Frank Hubbard, both of Cedar Falls, Iowa; Gordon Hubbard, Water- 1., a Probate Mrtis LaVern Clinton Joseph Chambers, 59 a resident of Payson and Las Vegas, died of natural causes Wednesday in a Salt Lake City Hospital. He was born Oct. 8, 1908, in Spanish Fork, a son of Joseph and Lizzie Maud Brazes Chambers. He married Mae Stark on Nov. 12, 1939, in Provo. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Chambers had lived in Las Vegas for the past 17 years but had also maintained a residence in Payson in recent years. He had been a carpenter bv trade, but had worked in mines in the Utah and Nevada area for 14 years. Survivors include his widow of Las Vegas; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Laura Jane) Miller, Henderson, Nev., and 16 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Payson-Par- k Second LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Payson City Cemetery under the direction of Rigby Mortuary. 1 H.
