In The new facilities in the Laboratory at Payson City Hospital include a work room where most of the selective tests are performed by professional and trained laboratory large specialists. This large room, as is sectioned pictured above, into special areas: one area being for routine chemistries, another area for special chemistries, another section for urinalysis, and finally the section. , Also in the new remodeling and construction area has been included a separate room for microbiology, a store room, and an office for the technologist. - Further, one will also appreciate the completely blood bank drawing tables and area which is also a multiple purpose room for the hem-otolo- gy newly-remodel- ed who may drawing of 'dome for certain procedures to be performed. All this fine facility is of housed in rooms of the old hos' pital that have been completely renovated to make a beautiful laboratory setting. The laboratory is located down the hallway south of the new Nurses Station and the Central Supply area. Some of the selective new equipment that has been provided, to perform the almost limitless procedures that are necessary for excellence in total patienf care, are included such as: 1. A new binocular-phas- 2. The Technologist has at his fingertips three new selective type centrifuge machines to assist in special procedures. 3. The Scintigron is another technical piece of equipment which is a deep well scintillation nuclear counter for some special tests such as: the 3 for thyroid studies, Blood Volume, Schillings Vitamin Tolerance, Iron Deficiency Anemia, Red Cell Survival, and Thyroid Uptake. 4. An automated Fibrometer for determining clotting factors of the blood to include Prototrom-bi- n Times, Partial Thrombo-plas- m Studies, and Phased Clotting Times. 5.
