The Montagues were returning to Spring Lake about 1 a.m. when their car, driven by Mrs. Albaugh colided with a northbound car driven by John C. Dalton, 23, of 353 East Third North, Provo. Mrs. Daltons wife, Louise Dean Dalton, 21, same address, was a passenger. All were treated at Payson City Hospital and are reported to be in fair condition. Mr. is suffering from Montague chest abrasions; Mrs. Montague has contusions of foot and arm and Peggy has fractured wrist and bruised knees. Mr. Dalton has laceration of the forehead and his wife a fractured foot and contusions. A trip to Lake Mead has been enjoyed by a group of boaters including Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rodgers and son; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Daniels, Payson; and Mrs. Daniels sisters and husbands, Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Mrs. Mary Jeppson, a mem- ber, described the area where she lived recently as a missionary for the LDS church. She said Atlantic City is a large, beautiful city, with altitude comparing with Denver, Colo. She said there are more than 300 industries in Atlantic City, and that anyone who wants to work has the opportunity. The largest swamp in the world is located nearby, and also the largest granite mountain Is in the area. At the present time, she said, greatly enlarged figures of three of the Confederate heroes of the Civil War are being sculpted in the mountain. Mrs. Jeppson showed travel folders and pictures of the area. Accordion selections were played by Madoline Dixon, after which refreshments were served. Mrs. Gladys Wilson was hostess. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Brown, Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Brown, Payson, are spending the week in a vacation at Puerto Rico. The Browns are on a tour offered by a plumbing and heating manufacturing company in connection with sales. Departing Sunday evening, they will return next Sunday. Mrs. Mattie Pickering returned home Sunday after she spent the past two weeks in Omaha, Nebraska, with her daughter, Florence, and husband, Leon Wride, and little daughter, Leanne. Mrs. Pickering was joined in the return trip by another daughter, Neva, who with her husband, Ray Mur dock, Provo, had attended a convention in Florida. Mrs. Sterling Taylor enter tained her card club Friday evening at her home. All were friends while residing in Prescott, Arizona, a number of years ago. Other visitors at the Kapple home included Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Blackburn, Mrs. Kapples sister, and husband, of Vale, Oregon; Robert Taylor, her brother, from Richland, Washington; and Mrs. Thenelda Parker, a niece, of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Page Peery, Payson, recently two weeks in California, where they were called to attend the funeral services for Mrs. Peerys sister, Mrs. Helen Chambers, 60, at Hollywood. Mrs. Chambers 'died of a heart ailment. While on the coast the Peery couple visited their son and Reid Peerys, and family at Santa Ana; and Mrs. Phillip the (Florence) of Mrs. Davis, and one brother, Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Stewart, of Payson, now residing in Salt Lake City, visited briefly in Payson Wednesday after attending funeral services in Benjamin for a relative. All were members of the Smith family of Nephi, survivors of the family of seven sisters Spring Lake Culture Club Holds Meeting. Members of the Spring Lake Culture Club met Thursday night at the home of Mrs. Dick Saunders to have their meeting. Mrs. Junior Lundell, president, conducted the meeting. Mrs. Rex Peery read the Collect and the pledge to the flag was led by Mrs. Glen Benson. Mrs. Franklin Tervort introduced Miss Linda Dixon, daughter of Charles Dixon of Salt Lake. Miss Dixon is attending the BYU. She is a member of the BYU Folk Dancers who toured Europe. She told about her experiences and the thrill of being one of the dancers and she showed many pictures she had taken of the country she had taken of the countries they visited. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Saunders and Mrs. Walter Butler. Refreshments were served to 20 members and one guest. Mrs. Cecil S. Peery one afternoon, remembering the frequent visits he made to her home. Peerys sisters, at Northridge. Enroute home, they visited Mr. Peerys sister, Thelma, and husband, Arthur Merrill, at Sun City, Calif. Also attending the funeral services in other sisters Beth Lyman and Ruth Walker. Mrs. Anna LeFevre gave the Inservice lesson. Departmental meetings were held with a member of the predi-denc- y conducting each. Refreshments were served by Highway 91. Mr. Hooley discussed the raising of dahlias, mums and begonias. He told of the best methods to raise display blooms in these flowers. Namoni Hillman, president, was in charge of the meeting and discussed the club projects by the historical marker and on the library property across the street North of the City Memorial Park.
