BAADSGAARD Cecil Barnett Baadsgaard, 64, formerly of Payson, died Saturday, April 2, at 4:20 p.m. at her home in St. George of a coronary occlusion. She was born Sept. 23, 1901, in Payson, a daughter of Joseph and Ann Sargent Barnett. She married Leo F. Baadsgaard Aug. 22, 1922, in Payson and the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, both in Payson and in St. George and prior to moving to St. George several years ago had been a member of the Saddlette Riding Club in Payson. Surviving are her husband ol St. George; four sons and one daughter, Joe F. Baadsgaard, Ned L. Baadsgaard, Garland, Box Elder Co.; Ray E. Baadsgaard, Salt Lake City; Gene B. Baadsgaard, St. George; and Mrs. Moses Wash.; Lake, Janet Marsh, Mapleton; also 12 grandchildren, two brothers. Rex Barnett, Noal (Bud) and one Mrs. Arnold (Ruth) Kallbacka, Payson. Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, at 11 .m. in the Nebo Stake Center. Earlier services were conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the St. Barnett, Payson; sister, George Fifth Ward chapel. Friends may call Thursday prior to services at the Rigby Mortuary. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery. SARAH N. CLAYSON Mrs. Sarah Nielson A. Clayson, 83, died Thursday afternoon, March 31, at the family home of a heart ailment. She was born May 7, 1882 in Payson, a daughter of Niels and Sarah Ann Searle Nielson. She married John W. Clayson on Oct. 24, 1901. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS 1, 1949. Temple. He died June Mrs. Clayson has been an active member of the LDS Church, working in the Relief Society, and was a stake missionary in Nebo Stake, i She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and had served as captain of Sego Lily Camp. Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Lawrence W. Clayson, Santaqui'n; Wayne L. Clayson, Ogden; Mrs. Eldred (Inez) Peters, Shelley, Idaho; Mrs. George (Ruby) Rawlings, Garrison, 12 grand- Utah; 14 children; 7, 1966 Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Payson Park-Second Ward Chapel with Harold Hawker Bishop officiating. Burial was in the Payson City Cemetery under the direction of the Keith Jolley Mortuary. W. 50, Eureka, died Wednesday at 3 a.m. in the Payson City Hospital of cancer. She was born August 24, 1915, at Silver City, Juab County, a daughter of William Earl and Roxey Kerr Potts. She had never married. She had been an active member of the LDS Church. She was educated in the Eureka schools and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Eureka. Surviving are one brother and two sisters, Earl Potts of Tooele; Mrs. Dillard (Laural) Thompson, Clearfield; Mrs. Noel (Geraldine) Payne, Kearns. Funeral services were held Monday at 1 p.m in the Eureka LDS Ward chapel with Bishop Denton C. Bartschi officiating. Burial was in the Payson City Cemetery under direction of the Keith Jolley Mortuary. ROBERT VON HORN A Payson man was killed Friday when a truck in which he was riding lost its brakes coming down the west side of Loveland Pass, in Colorado. Robert Von Horn, 34, died at the scene of the mishap about nine miles east of Dillon on U.S. 6. Colorado State Police said the truck, driven by Robert W. Swan, 32, of Salt Lake City, stayed on the road three miles after losing its brakes. It then traveled 175 feet on the shoulder, hit a highway sign, continued another 125 feet and hit an embankment, then traveled 599 feet along the embankment, turning over and pinning Von Horn in the wreckage. Swan received severe cuts and contusions. He was taken to a Leadville hospital for treatment. Mr. Horn was one of four persons killed in Colorado traffic accidents during the day. Robert Von Horn was born Aug. 15, 1931 in Kemmerer, Wyo., a son of Jens Mikkel and Bertha Pierce Horn. He married Anna Jean ChappelonSept. 23, 1950 in Spanish Fork. He attended schools in Provo, and Payson High School and Payson LEG Seminary. He had been employed by the Clark Trucking Co. of Provo and Salt Lake City for eight years. Surviving are his widow and four children, Jens, Tom, Bart and Barbara, all of Payson; his Payson; mother, brothers, James P. three and John R., both of Provo; George Los Angeles, Calif. J., Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Payson Fourth Ward church. Burial was in the Payson City Cemetery under direction of the Keith Jolley Mortuary.
