Show Merchants set Sale Friday, Saturday Payson Merchants are having a Dollar Days and Sidewalk Sale on Friday and Saturday, August 6 and 7. Businessmen are combining and are having printed, under direction of the Merchants Committee of the Chamber of Commerce, a circular filled with specials for the two-da- y sale. Some of the stores will have their wares displayed on the sidewalk in front of their stores, others are sponsoring specials within their places of business. Two Payson residents today were listed in fairly good condition by the Payson hospital, where they were taken last Wednesday, following a traffic accident July 28 east of Payson on U. S. 91. According to the Highway Patrol, Leslie D. Barnett, 64, East 1st South, Payson, of 662 was heading west on the highway when his car struck a parked semi-trail- er on the shoulder of the road. Mr. Barnett suffered a broken nose and head lacerations, while his wife, Jessie Hughes Barnett, 62, who was a passenger in the car, suffered severe head lacerations. Driver of the parked truck was Eugene W. Bell, Lomita, Calif. He was not reported to have been injured. The accident occurred a quarter mile east of the Payson Bowl. on U. S. 91.
