A group of 18 made the horseback trip to the Cockle-bu- r cabin, where a steak supper was served to 36, some having made the trip in cars for the evening event only. Others remained overnight and after breakfast took a ride through the mountains. The outing was concluded with a noon time dinner and ride In back down the canyon. charge were Mrs. Don Cooper, Mrs. Dale Reynolds and Mrs. Sterl Davis. Previous to this the Saddlet-te- s were guests of the Salem Ladies Riding Club at a social held at the home of Mrs. Sterling Ballard, located on Highway 91, midway between Payson and Salem. A buffet supper was served after which games were played with prizes going to winners. Mrs. Ray Stickney was awarded the prize for having traveled horseback the greatest distance to reach the place of the party. On August 24th the club held their annual childrens party, with 72 members and their children attending a social at Arrowhead Resort. Mrs. Ernest Ahlin and Mrs. Bud Barnett were in charge. On August 17th the ladies held their annual overnight ride to the Cocklebur cabin. There were 16 members who rode to the cabin and stayed for supper and breakfast.
