Mr. Ewell was bom March 11, 1874, at Santaquln, to William Thomas and Martha Wall Ewell. He was educated in the Santa- quin Schools and also attended Brigham Young University. He married Margaret Elizabeth McDonald Sept. 25, 1907, in the Salt Lake LDS temple. She died in 1933. An active member of the LDS church until his last illness, Mr. Ewell served as an LDS missionary to the Eastern States in 1902. He was president of the Genealogical Com mittee; Genola ward clerk for 25 years; a teacher in' the Sunday Schools. He was a High Priest at the time of his death. Surviving are a son, William T. Kim Loy Horn Kim Loy Horn, 3 weeks old son of Robert V. and Anna Jean Chappie Horn, died Sunday morning at the family residence. The child apparently smothered in his crib. Mrs. Tietjen was bom May 5, 1.890 at Springville, the daughter of William Henry and Leah Armstrong Bartlett. At the time of her death she held the position of supervisor of the school lunch program for the Nebo School District and had served in this post for 22 years. She was active in LDS Church work and held positions in nearly all organizations in the wards in which she lived. She was also a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a Gold Star mother of World War II. She was a past district secretary and treasurer of the BPW. She was married to J. E. Tietjen of Santaquin Oct. 9, 1954. Survivors in addition to her husband are Willis Mattinson and Max Mattinson of Spanish Fork and Ralph.
