information on schools You’ll find performance data from a schcxil on a number of different tests some of which the has a number of components including mandating testing requirements for students and requiring uniform reporting system from individual districts One result of the legislation has been the creation of a database through the Utah State Office of Education that has extensive information on every public school in Utah and which is available to all schools to administer to students Those tests include the SAT achievement test for grades 3 5 the CORE Tests for all 8 and students in language arts math and science the sixth and ninth grade writing assessments and the Utah Basic Skills Competency Tests for 10th grade College entrance tests for high school students such as the ACT Test are reported on the website but the general publ ic On the site every school district and school is listed and once you select a schcxil you’ll find a compilation of data that will give you some very useful information about that school’s demographics such as teaching staff expe- not required for students by the legislation Much of the test data is reported in percentages of students who are performing on grade level so it is easy to get an idea of how students overall are achieving in a schcxil Data is not provided for individual students but is available to parents front schools and
