Henry retired and they moved to Manti to be close and Carli Ephraim Henry was preceded in death by his wife on Nov 28 2001 Henry had a strong work ethic and was an example of honesty integrity and generosity We all love him very much and will miss him She was bom Aug 9 1912 in Manti to Louis Hansen and Sarah Maria Giles Hougaard Lu Dean spent her entire life in Manti and graduated from Manti High School as valedictorian of her class She went on and graduated from Snow College Lu Dean married Grant W Cox in the Manti Utah Temple on June 4 933 and were companions for 69 wonderful years Dean was an avid gardener from the lime she was a young woman until her 89th year She was known for her elegant Gladiolus and yard as well as her generosity in sharing with her family friend and neighbors She had an equal enthusiasm and passion for her vegetable garden The family fondly noted that she was good for w atermclon to flow ers She also freely shared the produce from her garden Elizabeth Lu Dean Cox Both she and her husband enjoyed traveling and were able to visit many sites that interested them Lu Dean is survived by her three sons Rodney (Marlene) Merrill (Doris) and Douglas (Joyce) all of Manti children and 78 21 grand- brothers Jack and Ted Hougaard and sister LaRue Nielson She was preceded in death by her husband Grant Cox brothers John and Thomas Hougaard grandson Scott Cox and Jeremy Cox Funeral services were held Monday Sept 20 at pm at the Manti Utah Stake Center Lu Dean was interred at the Manti City Cemetery under the direction of Buchanan
