an earthfill dam near the headwaters of Indian Creek in Sanpete County It is owned and under Special Use Permit to the Division of Wildlife Resources The dam and control structures have had deficiencies over the years and have been modified a number of times The present structure does not meet current State of Utah and Forest Service dam safety regulations and guidelines The Division of Wildlife Resources has proposed to carry out the following actions: remove and replace riprap as needed construct a cutoff trench and install a membrane to prevent water from filtering through the dam remove drop inlet install a concrete spillway and pipe This reservoir is an important fishery for the angler and has a and resort within a campground short walking distance from the shoreline In order to complete the needed work it will be necessary to drain the water from Ferron Reservoir The project is scheduled for completion in the Fall of 1991 sos that the reservoir can refill for 1992 If you
